QUOTE(frantic912 @ Mar 30 2023, 03:05 PM) me got offer $100 for 300mbps...after submit all required, then they reply..."sorry no fibre facilities at your area" I think what they meant was that there is no available port for 300mbps in your place.eventho right now i'm using celcom fibre 100mbps at my home...... Could be that all ports already been taken. |

I am a lite user current Maxis user paying 30Mbps for RM 89 permonth without tax. I have deco M4 connected via Lan.
I am out of maxis contract and waited months for fiber price to drop. I cant wait, intend to switch, is digi fiber better than Maxis ? is it worthwhile to contract for 2 years ? |

QUOTE(ccschua @ Apr 10 2023, 08:52 AM) I am a lite user current Maxis user paying 30Mbps for RM 89 permonth without tax. I have deco M4 connected via Lan. Both using the same tm unifi backbone, so no difference in terms of network quality.I am out of maxis contract and waited months for fiber price to drop. I cant wait, intend to switch, is digi fiber better than Maxis ? is it worthwhile to contract for 2 years ? I was using unifi 300mbps and recently changed to digicelcom fibre. Their technician only change the modem without changing the port or router originally set by unifi. And i think digi fiber is arguably the cheapest of the main telcos. $100 for 300mbps. Oh wwit, this one requires a postpaid under digi/celcom iinm. So next cheapest plan is maxis fibre. Rm145/mth for 300mbps plan but free for the first 6 mth. maxis call me that package is fair, and warns me to be careful before switching over to digi celcom, short of saying I will regret it. so can I know if digi celcom is that unreliable ?

QUOTE(frantic912 @ Apr 10 2023, 03:06 PM) naaahhh it just their game....me before this also same...from unifi to celcom.... one thing good about maxis postpaid is their internet is unlimited at RM 98. not found in any of digi / celcom.until they revise the price give me offer cheap price for 500mbps......i dun want becos i wanna combine my postpaid bill with fibre internet.....got discount... hahahaha...but 1 cons between telco and unifi is telco private ip, unifi that time still public ip.... first thing I need to do in order to port out to DIGI, is to unbundle my Maxis fibre to the phone package. then wait 1day, to switch to Digi. still undecided on which digi package, seems data is limited, i have to be careful in choosing the data plan. will choose a lower plan, and upgrade if hit max data. can i know what router is DIGI giving ? QUOTE(funnyTONE @ Apr 13 2023, 01:08 PM) To be honest, I don't know. go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/I did ask the technician that came to install my router, but he says he doesn't know as well. and check your current IPv4 then open command prompt, and type : tracert (your IP) If the trace (results) only 1 line (hop), then you're on public IP. -------- My Unifi contract is ending soon, might be interested to port out to CelcomDigi so I can pair it with my Digi mobile no |
