huhu petros susah la..don't want spend money. If you participate in their bidding exercise also, they mcm lack of clue how to prepare proper scope of work, deliverables to ease the bidders, padahal they hired those so called seasoned o&g otai?

Can Peninsula folks get hired at Petros or is Sarawakian ID mandatory?

Petronas has 50yrs of history, got to give it to them.

All non Sarawakian Malaysians need to have work permit to work in Sarawak.

But Sarawakians can work anywhere in Peninsula without the need of work permit.

I can confirm this as I have reviewed their Scope prior to this and I was like 😂😂 (during tender stage).

They hired managers, not engineers. These managers can’t do shit without an army of engineers executing the work.

P....f.c had just lost a multibilliondollar USD proposal in Indonesia against JGC. They had setup office in Jakarta Selatan early this year, proposal team + project team from UAE was mobilized there in expectation for award.

I got mine on the high side. All my ex colleague who went and got offered had diff ranges but within this range. And engineers already mentioned by our buddy here. Confirmed. Plenty of engineers in the industry i know or smoking room chit chat said the same.

So its good for most i guess. Because we all know its an underpaid environment here. And when clearing my phone. I saw the old screenshot of previous offer. Its a downgrade. ( But you get to nego up to 3x i tried my luck) Until HR shut you down.

Experience wise. Id say just go for it. At least most people i know who just run the contract and come bakc gets a diff pay grade. But 28/28, tax free. Or fam package. So much to think about. Competing with multinationals. Not sure if its worth it. At least for me its not. Heres to more operator coming in. This will pump our market and hope we all benefit

When did they not pay? Definitely not heard of such incident since 2021 onwards.

Did it happen in the previous downturn?

High possibility Pet is trimming down its staff after being forced to handover Sarawak gas business to Petros.

Its upstream projects in that state which were under early development were being frozen and not entering execution phase, from credible sources.
