Fastech has been selling china phones for a long time. That's why buyers cannot simply buy Moto china phone without knowledge. If even seller don't know about this, those who blindly buy Moto phones will really regret this decision.

Nobody can blame Fasttech because they are not here to track the policies of different Android brands. The bootloader policy of Motorola will be different from that of Xiaomi or any other brand.

They offer converting to Global ROM as an "add-on". Buyers are not forced and should be responsible enough to do their research.

What do you mean by Google translation? Are you referring to Google Translate app or you mean whether the phone's language has been translated to English properly.

For one, don't be confused on "system language" and "app language".
System language is the universal language used by the phone - either English OR Chinese. You CANNOT download another system language. What is system? The language you see in Settings app and ALL system apps.

App language - this is the language used by a certain app. Example - Mysejahtera. That app SHOULD come up with its own set of app languages. Your phone will NOT translate the language for you. This is based on what language is available for the app which is developed by the app owner.

The fact that you allow your phone to be converted from one ROM to another ROM means the customer knows the basic principle of rooting/bootloader. It's like you buying a brand new car - once you allow a 3rd party car shop to modify your electrical system means you know that the warranty will be voided. If a customer doesn't know this then they should not own a car in the first place.
I did convert Redmi china ROM to global rom before. works well. but moto side restriction is unexpected. those that buy Moto phone before do homework will be too late

- sorry I really don't get your question. You're talking about the app. I already gave you an example - Mysejahtera. If your phone's system language is JAPANESE, do you expect Mysejahtera to show all the wording in Japanese language? Or you expect the phone to translate Mysejahtera into Japanese? Or you expect the app to automatically download Japanese language?

The answer to all those is NO. That is not how an Android or iOS works. If you think your phone should do that, then you should look elsewhere.

Really worth it!

Ergh I'm in limbo either to get this or the Pixel 7 lol. I would argue Pixel is the better shooter, but I always liked the Moto Actions, even from my prev Moto phones..

I know how excellent Pixel phones are when it comes to cameras but Moto actions/gesture/display is a necessity to me now.

Aside from Moto actions, there are so many things Moto can do that Pixel can't (without the need to install third party apps).

Like Moto Gametime app (you can automatically change frame rate per app), Moto Device Shield (you can auto start apps, app locker, etc) etc.

Also, the Edge 30 Ultra cameras are above average. You can take great pictures in good and low light conditions.
Pixel 7 256gb is almost RM4,000.

The obvious difference in price is what makes the Moto phone more appealing and worth it

Arguably I don't even need 512gb, so its better in terms of cost, yea..

I do like how the Pixel takes better pictures in low light, and moving objects, though. I do take a lot of pics of my growing sons these days.. and you know kids.. don't stay still  I do admit, that in good lighting conditions, even my 30 Pro produces fantastic shots (to my standard, at least)

And being another Moto 30 variant, at least my wife won't notice it outright? Compared to Pixel 7 camera bars? Lol.
