QUOTE(dude06 @ Nov 28 2019, 01:34 AM) Hi All, Anyone know shops or contractor to convert normal folding gate with roller and pipe to trackless folding gate. Would like to keep the gate but convert it to trackless. Any mechanism to intro? Thanks in advance Got trackless conversion kit all in about rm2,600-RM3K++ but not warranty. But not really advisable for metal or stainless steel folding gate. This post has been edited by dblcss: Nov 28 2019, 08:07 PM

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Nov 28 2019, 10:00 AM) i saw one FB advert that show they can do this. But i question the wisdom in doing it. Trackless gate have to be light and the pillar support have to be sturdy to carry the whole weight by itself. The current pillar should be ok but of coz need profesional to check and confirm QUOTE(xXxJeremyxXx @ Nov 28 2019, 01:56 PM) Hi dude06, You may contact this number 016-3369911 (Kenvin) they are base in Klang Valley Thank you sir. Will give him and check it out. QUOTE(dblcss @ Nov 28 2019, 06:02 PM) Got trackless conversion kit all in about rm2,600-RM3K++ but not warranty. Anyone dealt with Wei Wang before? How’s their after sale service?
Received a not so nice response from them so am afraid to go ahead with them in case anything happens later.
Choosing their trackless autogate because:
1) Out of budget for Unigate 2) Fagolli design is not what i want 3) Saw few commented that CSA finishing is bad/inferior to WeiWang 4) Bad feedbacks on Emperor Autogate 5) No feedback on Beaugate/New Gate

Can someone please show me the wiring diagram of the button 1 and 2 inside button (used to open 1 side or both sides of the gate)?
If I remember correctly there are only 3 wires. I wish to know how they are connected to the main circuit.
TIA.

QUOTE(yfyap69 @ Aug 13 2019, 04:10 PM) Yeah, that is what I thought also. 1 port for indoor switch which will open and close 2 side and 1 port for outdoor switch which will only close 2 side (cannot open). Somehow the indoor switch only open or close 1 side. did you manage to solve the indoor only open and close 1 side of the gate using sonoff ? im facing the same issue . please advice

Should go for mid range motor arm. Those smaller arm will not last long with large or long gates. Can give NICE brand a try. NICE WINGO

QUOTE(Peppa_Pig @ Nov 26 2019, 11:37 AM) hi for those using DC Moto brand autogate, i want to open half way or open abit the gate, not let the motor open fully. would this spoil the motor ? does anyone know ? No worries, DC Moto is just running 12-16volts. Very low voltage compared with other brand which runs in 24V. You’re looking somewhere 10 years above lasting. I’ve inspect those old DC Moto internal motor have more than half carbon brush left.

QUOTE(zeese @ Nov 26 2019, 05:20 PM) I assume, when the motor stops half way, the sudden stop may give some stress to the gear. However, if you think about it, the motor will still experience the same stress when it stops after the gate fully opens or when it hits a barrier or stopper. So, in other words, I believe stopping the gate half way makes no difference to the life of the motor or gear system. Technically any gate length less than 18 feet is very normal for stopping halfway as some DC Autogate comes with cushion stopping whereby it doesn’t sudden stop the motor by cruising slightly before it comes to a halt. I do not recommend those gate longer than 18 feet due to the weight and momentum force whenever the gate fold in action. I advice my customer who own gate somewhere 20-25 feet folding gate to let it open fully as the system will automatically adjust its configured speed to slow down without damaging the internal gearbox.

QUOTE(Hianz @ Sep 28 2019, 09:03 AM) Hi, my auto gate controller the AC/Batt LED has been off since last night This morning it is ON again but after i press for the gate to open, it was OFF again. I believe there is internal battery already dead. Anyone can advice how to open this as I have failed to open it. Is this problem due to battery or anything? AC/Batt : Steady light (AC power on), Blinking (Charging Battery), Lights off (AC power off) This wired-keypad only sold with GFM 905 since 2008-2012

Thanks If not mistaken is none, as those tube type circuit boards no longer support centre locking mechanism. The centre lock was first introduce way back in the early 90’s underground motor. Technically nobody use centre lock mechanism anymore, the motor itself have locking mechanism. Is pointless to install a lock since the theft could just climb from the side after all.

QUOTE(wailing81 @ Jan 2 2020, 08:51 AM) Thanks. It's more for securing the car from theft, as the auto gate arm can be easily pull open by force. There was a cctv footage, happened in malaysia.. The thief managed to force open the gate until around 1 feet opening. The thief tried to sneak out a motorcycle but the gate opening is not wide enough. The motor stucked between the gates opening. The thief tried even harder after he noticed the owner has seen him and is about to chase him but the gate's opening was not getting any bigger. The motor still stucked. Finally, the thief fled. The video was viral a few years back. In my opinion, the autogate can be forced open but once the motor jammed, it cannot be forced to open any further. Yeah, i know, we dont want that to happen - we dont want to damage our autogate..
