It's more for securing the car from theft, as the auto gate arm can be easily pull open by force.

I am looking at 18ft folding gate, the vendor said better use DC moto for 18ft as it is more durable and long lasting.
is what he said true? or any other stronger arm can work?

Hi, recently engaged this contractor for stainless steel main gate, awning which called L & V renovation located in semenyih. Their price is lowest i can get. Initially wanted to try them until i saw your post.
Can you elaborate more on this, beside the auto gate problem? Did they deliver their main gate in good shape? How is the workmanship?

last time i had been quoted 9k+ for a 18ft x 6ft trackless system with DC moto including the auto lock from beaugate.
and 12K if i wanted a small door for access. price difference due to the frame size.

I had found few quotation for the 18ft x 6ft gate, most of them is around 9k. so your 15ft for 9k is expensive.

no, in fact after MCO i get cheaper price. less business

at the end, beaugate sounds better.

due to budget constraint, finally i didn't choose trackless gate.
Got my gate from L & V renovation, charged me RM1700 for DC moto Full Set.

Joanne also gave discount from RM1800 to RM1700 for DC Moto with auto lock.

Those were prices before September, don't know what's the difference now.

ya, might contact you in future if i really can't stand with the dirt of track gate.

hi guys, just installed DC Moto 925W
some how when closing the gate, one of the motor gave a very loud yiiiiii sound until it fully closed. is this normal? or a faulty motor?

yes, mine with the auto lock... so it's normal i guess

i just tried, seem like it's easier by using the remote control than the wireless indoor push button.
or maybe block by one wall?

6-9 to activate or deactivate the beep sound when open or closing the gate.

mine is by-fold. I also installed center lock with DC Moto.
No issue opening left or right individually.
