Make sure you deal with the SA properly, make him/her promise compensation if you get... sidai-ed. Why because while myself I did get my Alza within a month, it's more an anomaly then a norm (though I'm not sure if this end year there's a surplus of production or something).

But yeah, get the SA to commit as much as possible. Even if "Open Colour". Heck, also add in "Open Varient" if you really want to make it quicker, coz TBH I'm not even sure if X or H or AV is produced/ordered more at this point.

As for selling yourself, well it's kinda an open secret if you trade in with the Perodua Branch you get less. On the other hand, another "old wife's tale" is that if you trade in with the Branch, you get bumped up in the queue so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But if you decide to sell with Carsome/MyTukar, they do initially offer you a price FIRST, after which if you decline, they'll put your car out to bid (at least that's how it worked with MyTukar). So you get 2 opportunities, a direct price selling straight with them, or wait for the possibility of getting a better sales price through an auction.

As for the ask for extra discount for registering late, I didn't ask so can't concur. I was just pretty happy I got my unit quick (and with the other freebies the SA threw in) I didn't even bother to ask for extra discounts laugh.gif

Ironically, myself I went from aiming for the Cross Hybrid... to settling with the Alza AV. No regrets (especially from a cost POV), but that's probably just me laugh.gif

That said, I was spared the long wait drama so yeah that might have factored into my current level of satisfaction. If I had to wait a year, I might not have been so... content hmm.gif

yes i am still thinking.
for me Alza AV is the best choice, considering monthly commitment is less than 1k icon_idea.gif . wife is so interested with the Cross.

Toyota Cross is 1.7k for 7 years. rclxub.gif

i might check on Mitsubishi Xpander too. just nearby only.

Whats the total weight for these 3 bars?

Our Alza is underpowered so am sensitive to adding more weight to it. Am thinking of removing the rear tyre for city drive since insurance gives free towing

No problem.

I think the front strut exceeds 3kg previously.
Perhaps Ultra has made it lighter?

Wait a minute, last time i helped my friend install front bar cos his car was RWD.

Our Alza is FWD meaning tendancy to understeer.
A stiffer front will make it worse.

Theoretically, FWD cars need stiffer rear (rear anti roll bars) to counteract understeer. More so with our crazy 2750mm wheelbase.

But if you're not doing hard cornering, then no need bars la.

While we're on the subject of bars, there Type One also, anybody with experience with them? Other than that, was also wondering if there's any merit in installing a rear crash bar, like the one below.

Attached Image

Otherwise, just looking at slight stiffening of the chassis for me. Prolly just front bars and the rear ARB, done. The base DGNA-B chassis is actually not bad TBH for me, stiffness-wise.

Unfortunately not at the moment. We still hasn't seen anybody caught in an accident with it on to test it, or TypeOne/UR needs to buy a victim car to test hmm.gif

That said, I think UR already has a video out somewhere showing an bunged up Alphard-class car (a Merc I think) with a crash bar factory-installed. The bottom back seems to have retained it's shape but of course la the back door/hatch and everything else tapau edi laugh.gif

Type One.. good for me. I installed by the HQ guys

My Axia and my brother's bezza installed stage 1 as well. Good.

My new alza also on stage 1.. can feel some different orln cornering
Previous Alza just UR strut bar..sold the car.

So far I am happy with Type One as heard from the sales mgr that their staffs have new alza too.

Rear crash bar, not installed as that time not avail yet.. not sure the effectiveness though.
