Getting X with 15" rims this week.

If upgrade to lighter 16" will it void suspension warranty.
Better just buy original 16" from you guys upgrading to 17"?

Keep your original rim, when send to claim warranty, change back to ori rim.
*
Every service as well? A bit of work.
I go confirm w SA if change to ori 16" should be fine.

Was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to side-park into a narrow lot, the bulk made it seem longer than its Vios length only.

That is the reason I plan to buy this car especially my wife already told me we have a 2nd baby.

My myvi almost 10 years old.

Plan to get rid of civic first since no more warranty and price still high.

Then after several years get another segment C or D sedan.. but wifey said better trade in my myvi.

*
If you need money, the civic goes.
Else the much older Myvi (sentiments aside) since a MPV and a C/D segment sedan is the desired combo.

Btw if u order the Alza now, think can get before baby arrives ?

Also any suggestion to up its 1.5 engine performance, keep within the tolerance of this D-CVT? can it withstand 200Nm to 220Nm torque ?

*
Alza 137Nm
Ativa 140Nm

They both use the same D-CVT from Daihatsu max load
150Nm only. YS Khong took the Alza for his Genting run also the gearbox warning light appeared, likely overheated.

This gearbox not meant for performance

I personally think good protection from ground stones but not sure about heat disperse effectiveness.
Also, if in future any leaking (if there is), you might not notice this on the floor (oil patch or coolant patch as example) at your garage floor.
*
Still considering, cannot tahan the hugh gap in the engine bay, scared stray cats climb in give birth, snakes, etc LOL

The company website got show heat dispersion.. Also Hot air rise upwards they said..

Im lucky all my Perodua vehicles since 1997 no leaks due to strict maintenance, hopefully continue luck la

My brother in law told me he took the car up to 140km/h highest speed and the car has no issues to reach that speed with little struggle.
I guess it can go up to 150km/h
*
Came back to PJ from Cherating pushed my X variant 140-150kmh for more than half the journey, didn't exceed 4000 rpm mileage still below 10K.

The 2NR-VE Myvi engine 105 hp @4,200 rpm should push our Alza to max ard 160kmh only.

How's the Alza's D-CVT gearbox compared to Veloz's Toyota CVT gearbox?
*
The Veloz, like the new Vios, is built under Daihatsu tech
hence has the same Dual Mode CVT as the Alza and not Toyota's more advance Direct Shift CVT

Hi guys, I am considering getting the Alza X (lowest spec)

for 9 years
*
Agree with LostFound & Kiefer it is not wise to take 9 year loans for car purchases. (to put it politely)

Some sohai might say for better cash flow, can invest the extra cash for better returns blah blah
but 99% of buyers plainly do not have the money for higher monthly repayments.

Max is 5 year loan to coincide with end of warranty.

As for rear camera, my whole family driving without one, me for 4 decades. Why not practise more and do without it.
Society getting less capable?
