Just my thoughts ya, no right or wrong..

1. AV sure 1 month? Want to lock your order..
2. Sell Myvi yourself (puspakom, entertain buyer etc) - full rate. Sell to Carsome, Mytukar - rugi 3-5K, Trade in - rugi > 5K
3. Maybe you don't need AV, perhaps X enough? Then get car faster cos less demand.
4. Already Nov, register 2024 la. If salesman want u register Dec for him meet his target, can ask for 2-3K discount

unless u want to sell it within 3-5yrs , else , u dont need to bother whether ur car register on Nov or Jan 2024.....

1.thats what the agent told me..if i choose random color.
2.i never thought of this option before. i thought of selling to carsome/mytukar. i dont know how long can i get a buyer if i do myself. It's my wife's car.
3. i think i can go for X Variant. Actually im looking at Veloz but the Salesgirl told me 8 months. haha.
4. wow i can ask? i never thought of this.

Make sure you deal with the SA properly, make him/her promise compensation if you get... sidai-ed. Why because while myself I did get my Alza within a month, it's more an anomaly then a norm (though I'm not sure if this end year there's a surplus of production or something).

But yeah, get the SA to commit as much as possible. Even if "Open Colour". Heck, also add in "Open Varient" if you really want to make it quicker, coz TBH I'm not even sure if X or H or AV is produced/ordered more at this point.

As for selling yourself, well it's kinda an open secret if you trade in with the Perodua Branch you get less. On the other hand, another "old wife's tale" is that if you trade in with the Branch, you get bumped up in the queue so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But if you decide to sell with Carsome/MyTukar, they do initially offer you a price FIRST, after which if you decline, they'll put your car out to bid (at least that's how it worked with MyTukar). So you get 2 opportunities, a direct price selling straight with them, or wait for the possibility of getting a better sales price through an auction.

As for the ask for extra discount for registering late, I didn't ask so can't concur. I was just pretty happy I got my unit quick (and with the other freebies the SA threw in) I didn't even bother to ask for extra discounts laugh.gif

seat hinges, I have not check as mostly folded down.  I have to check next time I wash the car.  One more way to settle the rust is to apply rust converter.  Just apply using small paint brush.. just a suggestion.

Lower arm, i can see my axia and old Alza has it too, seems normal.  But for trailing arm, it is not good.. last time when checked during installing anti roll bar, i don't see rust.  will have to check again.

Rust converter? I've never heard of those, need to Google. But yeah, the only spots of rust I've seen is minor ones in the hinges. For the arms, I need to wait until I get my car jacked up to check.

Thinking of installing an engine undertray/cover soon. Maybe I can check then.

better ask for commitment.. as once booked it is troublesome to change salesperson. I gotten my H for 1.5months 1 year+ back. I told her what color i don't want.. maybe becos my brother booked from her too that time and becos of i am trading in the old alza. Trading in previous car should be faster as they lock in the sell price.

She told me X is the fastest almost immediate that time, but i want to mid spec.

you can search in shopxx for PYE rust converter. just use the school painting brush to apply..apply whole hinge i think better. i used this to apply on my house gate rusted part before painting. okay ah.

but the hinge might become rusted again due to the 'lock' in might scratch it again. so apply this rust converter, lepas dry (in 30mins) you can put some spray grease on the hinge as well as the locking part as well.. that should sustain for longer time.

I found a few in spray form, maybe those easier to apply. Anyway, I might wait for the 1k service first, see if the SC will do anything about it. If they don't, or if the fixes require me to sidai my car for months.. maybe I'll consider applying the rust converter thumbup.gif

Thats a 32K spread in price range from X to Veloz.
Need to do much more research, test drive with wife etc to decide which functions included in the price important to you.

Otherwise, the money is wasted if cannot tell the difference say between AV and Veloz buta2 pay 19K extra for brand.

Got Auto AC, Telescopic steering, 17in rims and higher ride height... also the T name and RV. In other words it's legit the old Inspira vs Lancer arguments all over again TBH laugh.gif

But yeah is it worth the extra? Only you (the other poster) can say hmm.gif

I do wonder if the Veloz has auto (aka rain sensing) wipers. I don't really use it that much to begin with even in my old Inspira, but I do notice them being missing on the Alza.

Auto AC, however, I do kinda miss. That said, I wonder if the Alza still has the socket for the Thermistor/Temp Sensor coz even without Auto AC, ambient temp readings on the dash would be nice to have drool.gif

How old is your Alza?

Personally, I do feel that the handles feel like... cheapo plastic... so I reckoned that it will only a be matter of time before they started peeling. However, I was thinking more like two, three years... rather than months. You better go ask the SC on your next service.

Maybe we can change it to a matte black 3rd party part (or just wrap the thing matte black) to make it last longer. Unfortunately, unlike the outer handles, folks don't make cheap protection film for the inner handles hmm.gif

Mine first batch - received July 2022.... yeah quality for this part feels meh. Will ask SC when next go in.

Alza AV garnet red checking in.
Got the car 1.5months back.

There is one minor paint defect on the bonnet but it was not very obvious. Does anyone had this problem as well?

Also, does anyone noticed "breathing" sound from behind when you are driving? Or is it just me? The rear A/C was off.

Finally, after 6 months, I will be getting my silver AV tomorrow.

Like to seek advice on the following:

1. Any specific areas that I need to pay attention to when taking delivery or can revert back on any issue during 1st service?

2. Any accessories that I should look into to make my drive more comfortable? Example - how effective is the window tints or should I go add another layer? What about wind/road noise reduction measures?

Any suggestions & advice will be most appreciated..........
