Just my thoughts ya, no right or wrong..

1. AV  sure 1 month? Want to lock your order..
2. Sell Myvi yourself (puspakom, entertain buyer etc) - full rate. Sell to Carsome, Mytukar - rugi 3-5K, Trade in - rugi > 5K
3. Maybe you don't need AV,  perhaps X enough? Then get car faster cos less demand.
4. Already Nov, register 2024 la. If salesman want u register Dec for him meet his target, can ask for 2-3K discount

Make sure you deal with the SA properly, make him/her promise compensation if you get... sidai-ed. Why because while myself I did get my Alza within a month, it's more an anomaly then a norm (though I'm not sure if this end year there's a surplus of production or something).

But yeah, get the SA to commit as much as possible. Even if "Open Colour". Heck, also add in "Open Varient" if you really want to make it quicker, coz TBH I'm not even sure if X or H or AV is produced/ordered more at this point.

As for selling yourself, well it's kinda an open secret if you trade in with the Perodua Branch you get less. On the other hand, another "old wife's tale" is that if you trade in with the Branch, you get bumped up in the queue so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But if you decide to sell with Carsome/MyTukar, they do initially offer you a price FIRST, after which if you decline, they'll put your car out to bid (at least that's how it worked with MyTukar). So you get 2 opportunities, a direct price selling straight with them, or wait for the possibility of getting a better sales price through an auction.

As for the ask for extra discount for registering late, I didn't ask so can't concur. I was just pretty happy I got my unit quick (and with the other freebies the SA threw in) I didn't even bother to ask for extra discounts

Ironically, myself I went from aiming for the Cross Hybrid... to settling with the Alza AV. No regrets (especially from a cost POV), but that's probably just me

That said, I was spared the long wait drama so yeah that might have factored into my current level of satisfaction. If I had to wait a year, I might not have been so... content
