MY 1iii & 5iii didnt advertised as 5G phone.. so really no support 5G.. only IV series and onwards support 5G in msia..

the funny thing is, i went to SG and use local sim with 5iii MY set - tadaa ... got 5G! when in MY, all simcard kenot get 5G.
since its not listed in dnb website, so for me its really DNB issue

Just noticed astro go and Netflix app are no longer compatible with Xperia 1v, so can't install them from playstore. Anyone having the same problem? Of course I could get them from APKPure or other sites, but... Didn't have this problem before so wondering if it's just me?

Just checked my HK unit. Netflix listed as no longer supporting this device.

just checked with my frend, same XQ-BQ72 and build number also same, just diff at the back mine got "A".

MY set: 61.2.A.0.472A
HK set: 61.2.A.0.472

not sure if that preventing HK set to have volte in MY

Like u said the build number without "A" at the back.

Anyway when I receive the phone although the display protector still intact, I notice the packaging does not have any seal compared to Malaysia version where we have sticker seal on top and bottom. And another thing is the phone 1st turned on already at android homescreen, I suspect before shipped they already turn it on probably to test for defect at HK.

Checked IMEI all in line and correct, manufactured week 42 which around October, considered quite new  :thumbsup:

how about 5G?

Don't know yet since my mobile network do not have 5G coverage for my residential area 

5G is by dnb for now, not from telco

I PM one of the seller they said HK set VOLTE may not be supported for Malaysia.. wonder how big of an impact is that

Nope. Physical sim1 and 2, and remember sim2 is shared with microsd.

Is Malaysia variant XQ-DE54?
Saw online only this model supporting esim.

Headache to find a small screen flagship with esim though.

Starting from IV. HK and TW sets can be used in Malaysia. 5G supported out of the box.

Source? I owned two IV models. One HK, one TW.

Already updated my Xperia 5 IV to android 14. Seems like faster battery drain. Anyone have the same issue?
