Hi guys do you guys face any issue with the proximity sensor working the opposite way for Whatsapp? i.e. when ear close to phone it plays loud speaker, when ear away from phone it play through earpiece0

1V in Malaysia is 6399.. 1 IV 6099.. likely you might see 6499 for 1VI.. the rest depending on free gifts.

1V seem gave out wh1000xm5 with casing. 1IV gave wf-1000xm4.. 1VI might be wf-1000xm5.. ROI users might get free case as 1V buyers.

That's just my guess. Incremental over these 3 basically is SoC.. that camera hardware and software here& there.. unless you need long duration usage, else even 8gen1 can handle daily usage.

One main selling point for 1VI this round is 2 days battery life. Due to display change from 4k to full HD LTPO display.. I think this is main upgrade in my opinion.. not many video streaming apps really could maximize 4k HDR panel.. downgrade could deliver better battery life, could be a plus point.. depending how people think..

We are not getting red /silver. Kind of sad. And we still don't know the price yet!

the only concerned to me is that storage option.. msia continue to get 256gb.. i think flagship at this year should go higher capacity like 512gb as minimum.. since xperia 1 II till now still 256gb.. 512gb capacity seem only limited to Japan and Taiwan only..

camera not consider as upgrade in my opinion.. it is more on unleashed in new camera software.. sensor size should be the same as the dimension/thickness of phone likely the same.. cause it is periscope camera module.. however, based on some interview/explanation session on new Xperia1 VI, the camera module is different.. sensor is the same, lens & structure is different.. the size is longer & bigger.. aperture of telescope lens from f2.3 to 3.5.. 2.8 at 125mm.. take note on aperture of telephoto lens as variable aperture across zooming range.. at low light, i would recommend stay at 85mm.. only use longer focal length at daytime or good lighting condition.. <<< which a lot of youtubers/bloggers forget about this.. Sony is not doing much AI calculation to improve the picture quality as compared to other competitors.. but u get what u get from shutter button.. something i tried on Honor magic AI capture thingy, it not getting the moment i want.. it auto capture and auto find the unblur version.. u will see the changes from the shutter moment versus final output.. but sony could deliver 10/20/30 fps burst shooting.. shutter speed also play important role here..

Back to VI camera preview, from some TW blogger, some blogger's picture are sharp & better than IV/V.. IV/V will have mist effects, but VI seem better on this piece.. but some blogger articles show minimal differences between V & VI.. so dont expect much on it.. the only shine out among competition is that tele-macro features at 120mm.. if giving very nice output from all i could find..

since 1 series onwards, i think msia did all these surveys.. and i rmb my 1st gen Xperia 1 also having 128gb then 2nd onwards all are 256gb already.. a bit down to see VI still 256gb..

Ic. This is my first time buying xperia. Seem like it is almost a perfect phone to me. I really don't like how AI affect the photo too much. So for now, I just want to know when I can buy it.😂

It is not perfect & it is not mainstream product. You need to get accessories from China Taobao. Hardly to find any in M'sia.

If you are used to look at camera photos, Xperia Photo are not sharpest after zoom into details as compared to other smartphones.. But it will look natural. Your photo sky won't be blue, your tree leaves won't be so obvious.. your night won't photo won't turn dark to bright. These are something you should expect.

You won't get camera watermark like showing which Leica, Zeiss, etc .. unless you do it at post processing..


Also, some phone display color is not accurate, viewing at different device will gave you wrong impression of colors. Might looks vivid at your phone but look dull at others. Sony, as long as u set as creator mode display. It will give you the exact color to view at most devices.

Same.. somehow yet to see any updates about the deal yet. It just mentioned received a reward upon register the interests.

Based on 1 V， they gift 1 V genuine Sony case with stand. Then + headset as gift. Singapore same bundle deals too with 20sgd expensive than 1 V. Assuming 1V is 6399, so I guess 6499 is the max of M'sia 1 VI price..
