another concern is that 5 series dispaly issue.. overall it is still a nice phone with 8 gen 2.. people look for compact phone & a full set of SONY device may go with it.. worth the money anyways..

Battery usage has definitely improved a lot.
However, I am experiencing an annoying bug, Youtube app will be sluggish to scroll, which affects the whole unit, even after it is closed.
The solution is to reset the High refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz and back and forth.

Sony did release a smartwatch., but it is only available in Japan.

The display panel is different from older gen. It is slightly smaller now (hence thicker bezel).

im waiting for next year.. to see any Pro-II version with 8 gen 3 chipset.. xperia 1 IV still can serve me well for now.. this year tax relief also done as upgrade phone for parents..

consider WF-1000XM5 market price 1299.. phone + earbud only 4999.. meaning phone around 3700.. i would say a good deal la..

Just noticed astro go and Netflix app are no longer compatible with Xperia 1v, so can't install them from playstore. Anyone having the same problem? Of course I could get them from APKPure or other sites, but... Didn't have this problem before so wondering if it's just me?

is it worth to take AP with these whooping >1.2k difference in price? summore u get 512 version.. any risk to expect for HK set vs MY set ?

the only risk is that local sony team do not support HK set.. they dont ever offer repair service too.. other than that, only few pre-installed apps are different in HK variant.. firmware wise i believe are same across TW,HK,SEA.. 5G are supported as far as i knew...

true 5.8k~5.9k official RRP for local MY set currently.. earlier with bundled gifts like earbud XM5 which is cost about the same like HK price except different storage configuration only..
