Nice, but I assume there will be some cable exposed from the ciggy port since one side is fully closed
*
Yes, some cable is exposed, maybe 4 inches at the most. The cable running from the Dashcam to the top lining is much more exposed than the power to the ciggy port.

So i ended up hardwired my dashcam. I really appreciate those guys from sicurez by 'teaching' on how those hardwired process is being done and how to unplug the wire and all if needed.

And i agree their workmanship is great, but as mentioned previously they do recommend installation without the transparent film but I insist on getting them.

Sicurez is great, and i do recommend them. I went here to Install the A800s for my HRV (Front + back) 2 weeks ago. However last saturday i just walk-in to the shop and asked them to help install the front dashcam again, as i got my front windshield tint was replaced by my tint shop (due to bubbles).

They did helped me install again without a charge.

You got the a800s from them as well? I was wondering how much is the workmanship if I bring my own dashcam over

I believe its depend on the size of car / type of dashcam.
example:
- Hardwire / Plug in 12v
- Single / 2 channel cam (front only or with back)

As for mine, the front and back cam for HRV is RM130 for the installation only.
A bit pricey if you can DIY it but for someone like me who doesn't have the knowledge or dare to mess with the fusebox it's within my estimated budget.

Been using it for a week. Generally fine, but there's a lag when u want to search for place on Waze. Typing response not so good. Can't beat the speed of wired android auto.

Yeap, already expected there will be a slight delay but usually i will just control using my phone while the car screen is just for display. so hopefully it doesnt affect much.

You can on or off the sreen. It doesn't affect the carplay as this is not mirrorlink.

Ok it’s been a really busy past few weeks but yesterday I finally took delivery of my M gray RS.

Earlier in August I asked my SA about my allocation, she asked me to check back in Sept at the time. But a few days later she suddenly told me my car is allocated. I think the car was originally allocated (and actually transported) to another dealer, but because that dealer and the dealer I booked mine at are owned by the same boss, they just “transferred” that allocation to me. Can’t confirm if this is the case, just my thoughts.

Coming from a 2012 Jazz Hybrid (CBU Japan), here’s my first review. Disclaimer: I booked and purchased the car without prior viewing and test driving. Yesterday was my actual first time coming up close and personal with the actual car. Pretty YOLO but it paid off.

1. I’m 190cm tall and thankfully I still have about 2cm of headroom left after adjusting my driving position. It was also a good call to instruct my SA to not include the 7 inch tint sun visor. I’m able to see through the entire length of the hood, which makes front facing parking a lot easier.

2. Also thankfully, the side mirrors have a wide angle adjustment range (unlike the Proton X70 where the side mirrors couldn’t go beyond a certain angle, unable to eliminate far out blind spots).

3. I’m not a fast driving kind of guy so…. Even on ECON mode the HRV RS has decent acceleration to me.

4. Drove 55+km home after taking delivery, set ACC at 80kph (because…. I don’t know, let the engine break-in lol) and the meter says I got 25km/L FC

5. NVH is pretty good, except that tire roar is quite loud… I think it’s even louder than my CBU Jazz.

Sekian. More to come.

im not sure whether I'm just getting used to it by now or that its really due to break-in of the suspension.

So basically when I got the car, odo at 30km+- I felt like the suspension is a bit stiffer than my expectation whenever going through speed bump or pot holes. Now that it has reaching 400km mark, I think its smoother than initially is and felt more comfortable than before

Am I the only felt this?

Btw yeah, I couldn't agree more. Moving from Persona to HR-V I felt a whole lot of difference in term of acceleration even on ECO mode. I don't find a situation where I need sport mode yet, I occasionally switch to normal mode when going out of roundabout or climbing elevated parking lot. but other than that I felt ECO mode is enough already. haha

Hi all, received my HRV E-Spec last Saturday and already clocked in 1050km. Pending for 1st service after trip KL < > Kedah. Bought this car for solo long-range outstations. Summarised review as below and coming from an Axia SE 😬 so everything felt like an upgrade to me

Pros
- Great turbo engine & transmission, smooth acceleration < 4k rpm and hitting 110kmh at 1.8k rpm and 135kmh at 2.3k rpm
- Sport mode has more immediate throttle response
- Good FC, used about 45% tank one shot Kedah to KL (ECON, speed 120kmh)
- NVH is great, 80kmh no noise, 110kmh slight tyre noise and 135kmh wind noise creep in
- Great in-car microphone quality, can answer calls (teams/whatsapp) at 110kmh with crystal clear voice
- LKAS and ACC is a blessing for 4 hour trips
- Seat cushion is soft and supportive for long drives.

Cons
- Boot space is limited, not suitable for week-long trip with 4 adults. 2 large suitcase and thats about it
- Middle seat is not meant for any sitting, too high too narrow
- ACC is too harsh on throttle/braking when another vehicle up infront, affects FC too.
- LKAS sometimes got puzzled and not that centered all the time.
- No BSM, no front parking sensor, shameful
- Aircond at highest temp 28°C is still cool, so when heavy rain u still freezing cold. Heated leg ventilation doesn't do much as well.

Some Room For Improvement (Read: nitpicking)
- Front seat belt anchor a bit intrusive into hips
- Front speaker placement is right where your shoes might hit when exiting the car, could get dirt stuck at grille
- Tonneu cover lifts up when boot is open. Wish can put cute pillows there.
- ACC shortest distance is OK when at 110kmh but ridiculously too far when using LSF.
- Light sensor is too sensitive, just sitting under tree shade and it detects as night with full blown lights on and carplay night mode.

Crusing advice: Highway with heavy traffic, avoid ACC and try to lift & coast whenever possible, coasting distance is pretty great (maybe the turbo?)

Sekian thats all.
