Yeap. If only the RS is having the Turbo, im sure many will go for RS.
*
Yes, definitely. My wife downgraded to RS coz we didn't like the hybrid implementation. But the powered tailgate really bodo la... If they offer an official add-on for the tailgate to the V spec, we'll immediately get it.

don't think E spec has 6 airbags and 8 speakers, else would be too similar to V and quite a big jump from S

What is Variable gear ratio?
*
It automatically adjusts the amount of steering angle and gear ratio based on driving speed: basically faster speed need more steering input, lower speed need less steering input

I think its the opposite. Require more effort while the car is stationary. And when the car is moving need less effort to maneuver. At higher speeds, the steering needs to be stiff inorder to have good control of the vehicle.

Maybe the way I write down is the problem and communicate it wrongly - the picture below can better illustrate what I meant.

There's rumours going around saying that the price won't be revealed during Launch day (14/07/2022)...Those that booked...able to confirm with your SA on this info?
*
Impossible. Launch surely with pricing. If soft launch like the Civic track day, maybe yes just test drive, show car, that’s it. But 14 July seems like confirmed official launch from the internal memo.

From what i gathered, HRV will be priced closely to the new Civic or slightly cheaper.

If u compare the previous gen civic (FC) and old HRV pricing, they are priced similarly too.
*
Civic FC highest spec was RM140k, Honda HRV highest spec was RM125k - so around 15k difference.

The 140k for hybrid RS makes sense though (with SST) as the new Civic RS with SST is 150k - but I'm guessing the V version should be around RM130k with SST, or RM125k without SST.

Foooh - i thought RS and V price would be more different - i’m guessing they’re eating the profit margin for RS as it would be too similar to Civic. I expected the V to be 5K less, still acceptable price though

Now that we know the full price, the important question is: Would those who booked the car before 1/7 get SST exemption?
*
Confirmed will get exemption already… How much will that exemption will translate to is the question now.

QUOTE(squareballs @ Jul 14 2022, 01:30 PM)
does this hrv comes with front parking sensors?
*
Macam no for both questions. But funnily enough, got wireless charger option for HR-V even though Civic don't have this option and it supports Wireless Carplay

Went for a look at the nearby Honda showroom for a first hand experience - looks good! The most surprising bit for me was the legroom for the rear passenger. I’m a big sized guy (105kg, 176cm tall) and the reat seat was really comfortable with more than enough space for my legs to stretch out.

Only can seat 2 comfortably at the back though. The person seating in the middle could tolerate a short drive no problems, but a long drive would be challenging.

SA already submitted loan, looks like my wife will be one of the first batch to receive the car.

Any idea when are we able to test drive the car in showrooms ?
*
If judging from Civic launch, most likely in a month plus. They will prioritise launch bookkings first before dealer test drive cars

SA informed my wife’s car (v-spec) has arrived, but her loan is still waiting to be approved by the bank. Not sure why but it’s taking a bit of time… most likely can get it by next week biggrin.gif

Few months ago, but SA/Dealer keyed in the order 40min when the official Honda order queue system was opened for HR-V. Never changed the spec too.

Bank just came in and approved loan, but at a ridiculous interest rate due to OPR increase - similar to car loan interest rate in 2015 - Maybank and Affin both offered & approved the same interest rate.

So we will proceed and pay the necessary downpayment and should receive the car by next week if everythings goes well.

Your information is flawed. HM officially told all dealers this info late June.

mine's 2.48%, 90k, 7 years by Hong Leong. Then I found out my friend bought City Hatchback V spec back in May, his interest rate is only 2.21% from Maybank. Damn.
*
If my wife had signed just 1 week earlier, it would've been 95k, 7y, 2.26% from Affin. My Civic was 105k, 7y, 2.11% in January.

2.11% is historic low lol
can i ask how long did it take for your banker to prepare the loan agreement? Mine's been a week and still no news since confirmation of approval.
*
1 week is too long imho - might be that the bank branch is overwhelmed by loan request due to the number of car booking / loans. My experience might be different due to my relationship with the banker -

1. SA verbally told us the revised rate on 21/7 (Thursday) - wife verbally agreed and SA sent the loan form & all supporting documents to the banker on the same day
2. Bank called wife for verification / interview on 22/7 (Friday)
3. Bank gave LOU to dealer on 25/7 (Monday)
4. We signed the loan agreement on 25/7 (Monday) itself

Now just waiting for our deposit cheque to clear (should be today) and go to JPJ for number assignment tomorrow. Should get the car on Friday morning at the latest.

If at FB HRV group, I saw some places in KL already offering V Spec test drive - unsure which branch though. In JB, most likely will be next week or mid August.

-edit- SA just shared with me the car picture - Chassis No 19X and Engine No 17X. Wife super excited already laugh.gif Car arrived 20/7 at the dealership

that is just messed up yo.... how can they do that?

I copy / paste my post on Civic FE thread with minor changes:

Was disturbed to read about this last week, but couldn't get more information until today. Talked to my trusted SA regarding this, and we discussed extensively - my dealer / SA is not doing this, but allegedly some dealer / SA in KV is doing 70% w/o SST and 30% w/SST. SST cars need to wait for your booking queue, w/o SST you don't need to wait, can get immediately. Reason why they're doing this is that some SA may need to wait quite a while for their customers to get their car, thus no commission. Or new SA might need to wait until next year if need to wait until w/o SST cars to be cleared. Thus, they are doing this to ensure customers who booked their cars before SST deadline still get their cars according to their booking queue, and SA who can sell SST cars get their commission now, rather than wait their customer queue.

The w/SST cars may be coming from booking canceled or buyers with unapproved loans. Also, this is done mainly by the Sales Advisor. Dealer will definitely get their cut, but SA might not have another buyer w/o SST in hand with the same model/variant/colour. Hence, when their customer fail to get loan/cancel booking, they will offer to others under w/SST. If another SA in the Dealership get the car, they lose their commission.

The above writing is purely speculation between myself and my SA, not sure whether this is the correct / only reason.
