Seems like the diamond grille design is exclusively for RS while the horizontal grille will be for the other specs (Turbo and N/A variant).

Whats your view? Personally prefer the diamond grille though.

i thought the new HR-V is the one that was launched in the US. I actually like that better, and I wonder if they will ever make way to Malaysia, or SEA market.
*
US's HR-V is based on Civic (C-segment) platform while Asia countries HRV is based on City (B-segment).

US's HRV is known as ZR-V in Asia countries but i doubt it will make way to Malaysia / SEA market though.

I hope it would be possible at some point to retrofit the RS body kit to the V spec 1.5turbo variant.
*
Im sure its possible. You will probably see accessories shop start to sell RS bodykits when its near launching.

RS: HEV hybrid with spare tyre? lol
*
Hybrid will only get tyre repair kit as that space for spare tyre is taken by the battery already.

Normal petrol / turbo variant will probably get either a full sized tyre / small tyre

Roomier than HRV? Based on review HRV current interior is quite spacious already.

Any news on the projected pricing ?
*
Nope. but indicative price is around 118-138k

Got also info from salesman that the preview tomorrow will be 'V' variant i.e. the highest turbo spec.

Those booked that variant can go and have a look.

Thanks for the info on the pricing. Quite surprised Honda is actually previewing the V specs instead of the RS. But having said that, it’s going to be the most hot selling variant nonetheless.
*
I guess its due to the RS i.e. Hybrid variant will only be available 1 month after launch just like the City RS hybrid. So its more realistic to display the V variant

Just went for the preview, the display unit is the 'V' spec.

- Front grille -> RS style without the chrome highlights (Refer to the pic attached below)
- No power boot, only RS gets power boot.
- Rims same as the RS rims (18inch dark grey rims)
- Sequential signal
- Overall interior quality much more premium, big step up from the previous HRV.

Can't comment much as there's only 10mins for viewing time since the queue is very long.

we can go inside? how spacious compare to old HRV?
*
Interior space should be similar to previous HRV in terms of spaciousness. Boot wise slightly smaller compared to previous gen.

Yes, can go inside but only limited to 10mins and need to queue.

So HRV or Corolla Cross better?
*
Can't comment as I've not looked at the Cross yet.

QUOTE(KingArthurVI @ Jun 18 2022, 06:36 PM)
Do you think the interior can be comparable to say a Civic? I understand HR-V is technically a B-segment but from the outside at least it looks like a jacked up Civic rather than a jacked up City to me
*
I would still say the interior for Civic is slightly more premium still in compared to the HRV.

QUOTE(Zapherces @ Jun 18 2022, 09:49 PM)
Managed to ramas the Meteorite Grey RS today. My take on the all New HRV are as follows (coming from an existing owner of the 2015 HRV V trim and have also test drove the Corolla Cross Hybrid):-

1. Build quality as an overall really improved. Despite there are still quite a few hard plastic across the interior. Buttons seems to have more textile feel and loving the physical Aircond controls (speaking of the physical Aircond control, Honda did a nice touch by putting in colour variation in the temperature dials - red for hotter and turns blue for colder). I even tried slamming both front and rear doors and I must admit that they feel more solid than the Corolla Cross. Only gripe is the exhaust pipe for the RS looks hideous where there is no garnish whatsoever. Looks cheap ..tyres are 18inch 225 50 R18 Conti

2. Space wise, somewhat feels the same as the previous HRV except for the rear. Headroom seems to have reduced due to the sloping coupe like C pillar but leg room seems to increased by a wee bit. The black head roofing tend to give a more consistent feel as the rest of the interior are black. Doesn’t feel claustrophobic. Boot space however have decreased in size from previous with no spare tire (RS version only - but given a tyre repair kit). The leather seats feels comfortable but not sure it will give sufficient bolstering while driving.

3. Tech wise, Although we are not getting the 9 inch infotainment system as per the Japan and European markets, I feel that this head unit is far more superior than the Corolla Cross. The screen is bright and responsive. USB plug points are nicely placed below the Aircond dials which gives better cable management while charging or using the apple CarPlay/android auto. Reverse camera is clear with 4 angles to choose. Too bad no 360 viewing angle. We only get Honda lane watch. The 8 build in speakers is surprisingly good. Auto window only on the driver’s side.

4. According to the SA I spoke with prices are estimated ranged from RM120k to RM140k

Sorry could not give a more in-depth observation as I only managed to view it less than 10 minutes.
*
Great review..I'm surprised u managed to test so much things within the 10mins. For me, didnt had much time and the couldn't test the infotainment unit as the car wasn't in start mode.

why need spyshot when the whole SEA has this car for 6 months already  laugh.gif

this preview is more for people to on hold their purchase of corolla cross  brows.gif
*
Yes, the whole SEA has the car and people know how it looks already. I can only think why Honda is still keeping it secretive is because different specs have different trims. So these spyshots are basically confirming which variant has which trim i.e. RS variant gets the Diamond Chrome Grille while V variant gets the Diamond design grille (in 'black', no chrome highlights)

QUOTE(ginodave @ Jun 19 2022, 01:17 PM)
Does the v variety got that sunroof?
*
All HRV variants in malaysia doesn't get any sunroof / moonroof. same applies to the Civic

I doubt those booked the HRV before 30th June will get SST exemption unless Honda decides to launch it before end of June.
