i recommend getting a q6600. price now 600+. easily ocable to 3.2-3.4.
frankly at those speeds, if you're not a benchmark junkie, run encoding/rendering programs 24/7 or play all your games at max reso, you'll find it very very fast for all your normal usage. multitasking is a breeze, there's hardly a hiccup from xp when you alt-tab between games and whatever heavy duty progs you have running. q9450 may be faster, but hardly worth the almost doubled price, unless you are one those the minority users i mentioned above. |

Yup, still waiting for Q9450 or higher. I hope LYP shops are not "hiding" the stocks for 45nm quads.
Maybe I should just keep waiting till 32nm Nehalem comes out ... |

Luckily i got myself an E8400 last month. If i had waited for Q9450, i think my Dell LCD will be gathering at least 1" thick dust by now.
