Role: New, head-hunted
Experience: 5years
Basic: 135k/annum
Bonus: 2-3months + RSU

I open up my direct message if you would like help with CV reviews or any salary negotiation tips.

Sorry, sorry… I didn’t see your edit there.

Even then, it’s still a very respectable sum of money! Well done!

May I know roughly what is the celery ceiling for IT related positions in Malaysia? e.g. Team Lead / Manager positions

Last time I heard my ex-colleague macam hard in getting increment from jumping, I don't know the amount, but I'm guessing it's somewhere around 15k range?

With only 1.5 years experience you are fetching 9.2k. What was your 1st salary out of college?

Peak as in ceiling pay for a project manager? You can always move on to become project director or programme manager that is overseeing multiple projects? As a project manager I am assuming you are managing one or at most two projects at a time.

I think you can aim for Head of Project Management or something, pay can go over 30k if I am not mistaken.

Honestly, don't. Use this as inspiration to find out more, learn more from others and don't be shy dropping them a PM to ask them how did they reach where they are.

i think being employed in Malaysia to exceed 20k is not easy
for sure there are some highly paid jobs, like those off shore O&G etc

IT - there is the low and also the super high - quite a spectrum
