oh. patut google tk jumpa. ╋╋ム ╋╋ム ╋╋ム..

Now use 500mbps -> plan to upgrade 1gbps with free 2gbps speed for 1 year - better do it now or wait until gov annoucement on september?

It is a bet, no one know.
You might get better for upgrade earlier, or not.

Depend on how's UniFi doing the upgrade, most of the bug price is caused by upgrade in past.
Like the speed is 300M for 2 years(with price of 100M), then it get upgraded, and it stay for 300M lower price forever, lol. rclxms.gif
(something like that, I forgot is 30M get 100M, then free 300M upgrade 2 year or what la, bad memory)

Then if success on removing the UniFi TV plans, get it cut off more, lol.

I think better jump if you got the best deal on hand. Later when they annouce turbo boost, will get free upgrade at current price. The current 6 months / 1 year speed upgrade promotion maybe a compensation for March MSAP which they have delayed and will become permanent later. Just my opinion.

Well, I remember those times, got the Unifi fiber Student package for 10Mbps then turbo to 100Mbps but pay RM99/mth.

Then now on SWU 2.0 RM129 300Mbps but with call plan carried forward from my student package. Unifi TV terminated.

Now want go SWU 3.0 sadly rejected but then RM10 to keep my landline call plan sounds nubad deal but then thinking rarely use but still handy. Using UPS so can use the landline anyways.

in terms of cost to TM , 100mbps and 1gbps are almost the same . asking subscribers to upgrade speed can maintain or increase ARPU in the long run.

Yes, except you keep running torrent 24/7 hours, cost gonna higher.
In China, they just got PCDN which using router + SSD + public IP to sharing their upload as part of CDN to earn point, which can convert to money, lol.

But, if you just normal usage, it will save power by having short time on download everything, by not letting PC online midnight for downloading Steam.

If I'm going to apply for second Unifi package under the same name (for another house), is there any chance to sign up any of the SWU 3.0 offer directly?

TM says actively engaging access seekers for wholesale internet pricing agreement
By Anas Abu Hassan / Bernama
03 Aug 2023, 11:27 am

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 3): Telekom Malaysia Bhd ™ says it is in active engagement with access seekers to reach an agreement, following the release of its new reference access offer (RAO), which outlines the wholesale pricing of its high-speed broadband (HSBB) network.

The telecommunication company said the adoption of the Mandatory Standard on Access Pricing (MSAP) for the wholesale rate, expected to begin this September, will encourage service providers to offer better internet packages.

“Upon TM’s announcement of the improved RAO wholesale broadband rates on July 28, we have been engaging access seekers to reach an agreement that meets their needs.

“Given the positive improvement on the new wholesale rate, we are hopeful that this will encourage access seekers to offer better internet packages in the market, as stated by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil,” TM told Bernama.

TM said the agreement with internet service providers and other parties looking to subscribe to TM’s RAO for wholesale pricing will subsequently benefit their retail end-users.

“As of now, details on the offerings are a bit premature for us to reveal and will be announced in due course,” it added.

On Monday (July 31), Fahmi reaffirmed that internet prices are expected to be cheaper when the MSAP is adopted, which would lead to a reduction in internet wholesale prices and cheaper packages.

He also noted that a new policy of “where there is a road, there will be internet” will be introduced to ensure that people will have wider internet access.

On July 11, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the regulatory body that issued the MSAP, said a cut in retail prices for fixed broadband services based on the MSAP could only be implemented after the access agreement has been signed among service providers.
