Nowadays you go Shopee to find IPTV packages lots of sellers will warn and discourage you from subscribing if you're using Unifi. Reason is because Unifi international connectivity to this region IPTV servers even to SG and Thailand is very lousy. They suspect TM also is secretly doing bandwidth throttling to their customers line.

That is how bad Unifi is and the complaints about slowdowns accessing Telegram at peak hours at night and Reddit all are true.

Received my Fiberhome router today with Unifi 500mbps package. The Fiberhome router admin page so messy. 

Is it possible to replace with a different router? Any recommendations by all the sifu here?

i also download telegram very slow but after 2am above speed abit batter can hit 12mbps mean 1mb/sec
12pm i try telegram download still slow most 100kb/sec like 1mbps and 1pm also slow 1.30pm also slow telegram 
i download telegram most movies and some poxrm group video a lot but slow haizz

Maxis user here, I can hit the full 300mbps speed when downloading from telegram
Even during peak hours, so it is definitely TM's problem 
Torrent wise I didnt notice any throttling, most of the time speed is limited by the seeders not my internet speed

4 months in, so far so good

No more random youtube bufferings and tweets that doesnt load

you using maxis fibre so you area is maxis infra or tm infra

unifi my contract ended but i unable to try maxis fibre due 24month
if i don't like maxis fibre can't early back Unifi 

look like OWN TO RISK 

I bailed from TM just after a year, cant stand the constant bad routing+frequent downtime at my area
Ended up subscribing to Maxis 300mbps, so far 0 problem

Probably will unsub from Maxis after contract ended, not because of their service but because Allo is almost ready here

will connecting to VPN solve the slow telegram download problem?

mine unifi not much downtime my area not daily not monthly
i say uptime 98% and 2% downtime i think less than 1h or less than 30min

I'd probably won't be outstation that often by that time, not going to need remote access
BTW I noticed an odd pattern when downloading stuff from telegram during peak our...
Full speed for a couple of seconds, then cut off... full speed again... repeats still finished downloading
