in my case, I need a port from TM HSBB which TM refused to give to Digi with the excuse was no port available. The only way to get in is through Unifi. I wasted 10 working days trying to get Digi fibre installed in my home with no result. TM installed Unifi within 5 working days and the installation contractors came on a public holiday. My contract expires next year, I still undecided on my next ISP, probably either Digi or Maxis.
*
Just a quick reminder, if you kept having routing issues with TM
Avoid getting Digi as their routing is pretty much the same...
Consider either Celcom or Maxis

i also download telegram very slow but after 2am above speed abit batter can hit 12mbps mean 1mb/sec
12pm i try telegram download still slow most 100kb/sec like 1mbps and 1pm also slow 1.30pm also slow telegram  sad.gif
i download telegram most movies and some poxrm group video a lot but slow haizz
*
Maxis user here, I can hit the full 300mbps speed when downloading from telegram
Even during peak hours, so it is definitely TM's problem brows.gif
Torrent wise I didnt notice any throttling, most of the time speed is limited by the seeders not my internet speed

4 months in, so far so good

No more random youtube bufferings and tweets that doesnt load

unifi my contract ended but i unable to try maxis fibre due 24month
if i don't like maxis fibre can't early back Unifi  sad.gif

look like OWN TO RISK  sad.gif
*
I bailed from TM just after a year, cant stand the constant bad routing+frequent downtime at my area
Ended up subscribing to Maxis 300mbps, so far 0 problem

Probably will unsub from Maxis after contract ended, not because of their service but because Allo is almost ready here

Allo will be private ip

mine unifi not much downtime my area not daily not monthly
i say uptime 98% and 2% downtime i think less than 1h or less than 30min

so far
*
I'd probably won't be outstation that often by that time, not going to need remote access
BTW I noticed an odd pattern when downloading stuff from telegram during peak our...
Full speed for a couple of seconds, then cut off... full speed again... repeats still finished downloading

Hi guys, want to ask is tp-link ac1200 WiFi 6 certified?
*
Clue is in the AC1200
It has to be AX for WiFi 6 support
So that's a No

I want to check here on few things about unifi.

1. When outdoors cable (from DB to house) is severed, do I have to bear any cost for the cable replacement?
2. Is it necessary to do splicing at the modem or straight connection using fast connector will do?

Thanks!

1. Beared by Unifi

2. Nowadays new installation they'll use fast connector, splicing only needed when they need to fuse 2 cables together for extension or repair

TNB just reuse their electrical poles to add fibre
in somewhat rare cases, Maxis, Celcom, the others will lay their own infrastructure
as for TIME, they try to expand but usually is limited to only high rise
*
Not quite, for my area TNB installed new poles everywhere just for their fibre
Only for those super high density area they will reuse electrical pole it seems

How's Unifi's routing for the past 6 months?
My contract with Maxis will end in December, looking for alternatives now

Either Allo (infra available at my area), or back to Unifi if their international routing is better now

I’m kinda curious how Allo is doing..they offer symmetrical DL/UL speeds right?

Just visited their website - RM99 for 300Mbps? Wow.
*
They're still around, but seems to slowed down on their infrastructure deployment
From what I've heard, really bad after sales service
Long down time because they don't have enough technicians
