My mum used to ask me to take supplements. The only thing I took is B complex and Vit C. That's only during exam week

Most of the time, too lazy to eat those pills. Rely only on daily food intake, which is not enough and lack of most minerals and vitamins.

my parents are against me taking supplements in fact theyre against me working out and stuff...even my relatives are against that.... you know...old timers always say fat = prosperity

Yup, the fatter the more prosperous. Fat are always being compare to wealth. Old times, wealthy people are the fat people and that's why old timers prefer fat kiddos. No offense to anyone though.

But nowadays, we are more health conscious and the more we know the better we be. And also, everyone wants to look good. Fell good bout ourselves. it is important I'd say as it does contribute to your self esteem and it does boost the confidence.
