Guys, do you have an idea when will the new Macbook Pros be available here in MY? I was initially planning to get the 13in M1 with 16GB RAM, but the price of the new 14in base model is not too far from it. Any thoughts?

There are a list of apps that Apple listed for their performance benchmark as a guidance. If there is a chance you would use it, you should go for M1 pro if you have a limited budget. Otherwise go all out on the M1 max to future proof your laptop.

200g extra is not too bad for a laptop..plus all the goodies that it bring, kinda justify the weight it carries smile.gif

You guys also ordering the cleaning cloth? smile.gif

I remember last time Apple provides the cleaning cloth together with the MacBook Pro. Then later they don't provide the cloth at all. Now they want to charge you for it.

Harvey norman carry customized units, but very limited and its only either 16/256 or 8/512, the last I checked they don't have 16/512..

Im considering this 2 macbook

1. M1 Macbook Pro 13" with 16GB and 1TB.....

or

2. M1 Macbook Pro 14" Base model with 16GB and 1TB...

thinking hope on tuesday once embargo lifted can see youtube reviews before buy....

But I'm kinda used to touchbar... but 14" has none but Screen is promotion... also the rendering hardware and 200gb.s bandwidth is addictive..... will wait and seeeee

I would go with the 14" hands down.. wouldn't sacrifice all the good stuffs for the touch bar, its a whole lot of upgrades there, especially if no budget issue.

Yeah... option 2 seems better,

but I'm not in a hurry as my 15" 2017 macbook pro still running great... I may hold on for longer and wait for M2 maybe...

depends though

I would definitely get the M1 Pro MBP 14 instead, the additional bandwidth for memory, screen and Pro Motion is already a huge advantage over the existing MBP M1. To me, the screen brightness alone with the M1 Pro MBP 14 makes all the difference as most of the places I work in are fairly bright.

Considering

13inch MacBook Pro m1

And

14inch MacBook Pro m1 pro

I have the 2016 MacBook Pro and the battery life has traumatised me… I heard the 2013 MacBook Pro is has super good battery, but the 14 inch has pro motion sad.gif

My budget is not an issue but I’m having a dilemma here !

And also would like to game dota 2 if possible hahaa
