Don’t need to be double standard, yes there are hiring budget and if the company couldn’t afford to match it, then just suck it up and go to next candidates

Yes, it seems like you aren't aware of how the legal system works. If you are applying for a loan, you will have to provide documents to the bank no? The bank has every right to ask for such details. If your friends see your new car and ask you how much you paid and if they ask to see your loan agreement, you can deny them. You do know that right? It seems that you're not someone who understands how the system works. doh.gif

it's normal isnt upon hiring?

HR would request those, especially if there was a period if one was unemployed for 3 months or longer also

EA, Payslips, EPF , bank statements, certificates.

Then you have to disclose to allow them to get other agency to verify them.

If Banks, you would have to disclose them to check your CCRIS also.

i also joined a new company this year, nothing much to make noise also.

but it's totally ILLEGAL to through it the backdoor way. you can't just go around and snooping on others without the person's consent

CONSENT is the key here. TS doesn't want to get the CONSENT from the candidate, instead he prefers to go about it the ILLEGAL ways

Actually my simple question to TS:

Did you have the candidates signed Pre- engagement screening form to give consent to have background check? That they allow your company to have check on either their financial , or criminal record ?

If yes, then you are definitely legally allow to ask for record and do the background checks through “legal” mean
