Hehe my mix food done already. Tonight see is it Ah Pit like it or not.

Seem is the first time, i check is it Ah Pit will eat the food or is got anything happen, I will also try change the honey to other things.
Maybe can try juice or jam .

Yeah my mix food start like frozen ice creamy already, don't know later on will be ice stone or not

Nowadays i start play with Ah Pit around 5pm~6pm, let her come out stand and my leg watch around area when i sit on the chair. When coming out is scary, later on will very active anywhere also want to go.

Is it got any limited time to play with sugar glider? Or anytime also can play with them besides midnight ( too active )

he i am back. nope, i didn't mix the new 2 with my old 2. i went to buy it for my friend, not myself one lah. haha... the first day my friend all scream for help cause they can't handle it. (they see mine so active, playful and friendly, thinking when he will get one like mine). but eard from him today that the glider(s) already can be hold by hand, and didn't scare him anymore. haha......

ooo... i give them the fish worm cube, cause my suggie, is super bad taste. they scare the worm which a life, wait the worm to die, then only they will go eat. so not healthy. huh..... so i planing to bake the worm so can keep for long and won't be smelly when they dead. is that ok ah??

I don't know anyone sugar glider is it same as Ah Pit, Ah Pit won't eat something that need to chewing, just like to eat those soft thing, example like when Ah Pit eat orange, she just drink the juice from the orange and didn't eat the meat skin.

Just now i saw the Ah Pit finish the mix food but those small small pieces egg didn't eat, maybe next time make more soft for the egg.

Yeah until morning Ah Pit got finish the mix food and apple, happy ~~

If they're not used to live mealworms, you can try plucking off the head and give to them. Sooner or later they will learn to love it

I think baking mealworms are as hard as baking crickets, everything need to be right, or else, it'll get burnt.

If you wanna keep the live ones and don't want them to smell bad, put oatmeal bedding for them. Don't put anything fresh too long, it will spoil and cause the rotten smell too.

Speaking of baking mealworms, I think I have seen a bottled of dried mealworms before near my place, I'll try and check it out if still got, but I dunno if suggies will eat it or not.

Em ya , last time i have feed 1 mealworm for Ah Pit, that time is feed my young hedgehog, Ah Pit just chew the mealworm until no more juice inside then leave the mealworm skin at there.
Now so happy that Ah Pit enjoy the mix food for the first time, morning just give her eat fruits, after that come out run all the way ....Ah Pit now quite like to come out play play already but hard to stop her for a place let me sayang, she just come out run to somewhere or searching something to play.

All gliders do that lah. They will always produce "pulp" (this has been mentioned in just a few replies back...)

For mealworms and crickets, the excess will also contain the exoskeleton (search wiki, if you dunno what's exoskeleton).

For other foods also they do that, they chew and get off all the nutrition needed, they throw the pulp.

One of the pets I always wanted to have but couldnt. To think of the fact that they usually do their business on their masters is kind of gross but yet again, these are really adorable pets... I never own any but I have held them many times, super loving creatures.

Adorable and high maintenance, haha

We humans are merely slave to them, become toilet, preparing and serving fresh food daily and cleaning up their homes every week

Ohh, I forgot to ask, anyone here got house gecko(cicak) problem?

My apartment got huge-huge house gecko lah... Last time they stole mealworms(cuz I didn't close the container)... Then another time, I found one huge one, sitting nicely in Iggy's cage!

Huge one, sitting splat at the bottom part of the cage. I chased it and got a bit of his tail off.

This morning(early sahur), there was another huge house gecko on the wall on top of the cage! I think it is the same one as before cuz the tail seems like regenerated back...

Iggy musked a lot till my apartment quite smelly, I think he wanted to protect his cage area...

I chase the gecko and sprayed it with Sheltox(dunno what else to use ), it ran outside this time...

Sighhh, I think the house geckos are stealing foods from Iggy's cage!

Grrr...

Any suggestion how to get rid of them?

krynzpeaches , i suggest u get 1 liquid that is avoid ant coming to your house. My house is using that, ( Maybe is not for ant only, quite strong poison ). U can ask those hardware shop, the liquip is not for spray on cicak or ant, is spray on those window, door bottom there or those area that ant or cicak or anything they will coming in from. So after that no more ant, cicak or insect coming in, who come who die on spot XD. Most of the cockroach will die after next day.

If want to do non poison thing, u can buy those sticker that is catch cockroach or cicak, just simply put tha sticker on floor or any place, put some food on the sticker, when cicak try to eat the food, will stick on the sticker, else your cicak know to fly .
I get quite funny experience on that stiker, last time i don't believe, so i buy 1 try on behind my house there, i just put there and leave it there, then after 1 day, catch some ants and flies there, after 1 day, cockroach also kena, so u can imagine there that stiker alot thing there... yiak.
After 1 more day again, that sticker diappear from my eye there, actually that sticker is stick on burung kakak leg there . but few minutes that burung kakak success run out from that stiker and drop in longkang there....

i am now feeding my joey the mix and different type of fruits daily.

hand feed the mix during midnight until it refuse to eat anymore, and left the remaining mix in the bowl, usually in the morning will be finish up.

the fruits i will put in the bowl every morning before i went to work.

so is this routine ok ?

Regarding your gecko problem I dont think you should be spraying insecticide inside( I gather it is an aerosol ) as the insecticide particles can remain suspended for quite o period of time. Also if it does affect one of the geckos it will become an easy prey for your SG's & may have severe consequenses for them. Personally I like geck's & love watching them run around the walls & ceilings either chasing insects or other geck's. When the termite season is on some termites ( flying ones ) would find their way in the house & I would flick them to around the tv where there was a geck. It would come out survey the area & eat it than run back to under the tv. Geck's are a god natural insect eater.
Do you mind if I send an email regarding wheels ???.

If you still can see bit's of egg in your mix you have not mixed it thoroughly as the mix should be like a paste & not see what ingredients are in it. See the first page for a photo of Huns mix for the consistancy

Hahahah.. Lollypop sure happy. Bagi more types of fruits lah. Mine suka Papaya, Jambu Air madu, rock/sun melon. Paling suka is the sun melon. So sweet and crunchy lah.

DOB.... memang I dunno coz I didn't breed her.... big agak agak could be mungkin Middle of May.

I read gliders don't really like dried mealworms. You better stop giving the tubifix worm cube lah. Go get normal mealworms, crush the head then give lah. My gliders don't care dead or alive, all also eat insects and mealworms. Even my 2 month old joey also eat crickets now.

Aiyah, spit out the skin is normal. Sugar gliders are animals that take more of the nutritious juice or liquids, leave the skin..... mealworms the skin is actually not good to swallow so they spit out. Almost all gliders do that. As for fruits, the pulp got no taste, just bland fiber. They take more sugary liquids than the fibers.

Now at least Ah Pit can eat good food.

I got 1 suggestion. Read it somewhere. Make a solution and spray it at areas where geckos are normally at. This is not harmful to pets.

If we spray insecticide or use any chemicals, scared it would affect the gliders. My room is insecticide free, but then I got an air freshener hanging on my air cond, that's about it hahaha.

Make a solution of Cayenne Pepper, with some Tabasco sauce, a squirt of dish washing liquid, garlic essence with a bit of water. Put in a spray and spray on areas you think geckos crawl about. You have to do this a few times.

If you see a gecko, spray it with ice cold water, it would drop down from the wall and ceiling then you just grab it and throw outside lah.

I like geckos, they eat up the flying insects around. I love my leopard geckos hahaha...

Why I would suggest using a non-chemical base repellent is that gliders actually would eat geckos! Serious! I have seen it with my own eyes..... well, not my gliders but someone else's lah.

Yah, the sticky paper can also work.... but I don't quite like hahaha...

Yah, it is ok. I also leave the mix overnight, plus some fruits, normally next morning all gone or just a bit left. That is quite normal.

Yups, the mix should be smooth. No bits and pieces. It has the consistency of milk shake to me. Quite smooth with no lumps.

When i doing the mix food, all thing is soft ( liquid or powder only ) besides the egg, so i smash the egg and use filter push it until soft and throw it blender to blend, but can't blend in to it, next time need to push or smash it until really like a pan cake then only blend.
Hmm about the fruits jam, those organic shop can easy find those fruits jam without adding anything ?
