That is not dry mealworms That is tubifex, pound worms that eat pond shit..... also there are added preservatives inside meant for preserving it dry and it is ONLY suitable for fish. Who told you to feed tubifex worms? I wouldn't even touch live ones that I have for my fish coz they are quite gross.

Please do not substitute insects with what you can find at petshops and fish shops that are either preserved or processed. Just feed live ones. It is much healthier and safer. You may end up giving gut problems to your glider if you experiment on petshop stuff.

The vitamin for reptiles in Ikano are not suitable. Sera or AZOO are not suitable. Only Repti Vite is ok. If you cannot find vitamin powder, get vitamin drops for hamsters.

No, there should not be added magnesium coz our dosage for magnesium is too much for gliders.

Oat drink is ok. But you should check and make sure it has no oil, no soya and is free of sugar and preservatives. I still believe the only milk suitable for gliders is Pets Own pet milk which is Lactose free.

Yogurt is the best source of calcium but never give more than a teaspoon each day. Best is half a teaspoon. Too much can cause diarrhea. Never choose fat free yogurt. Feed Low Fat yogurt or normal yogurt.

Sugar gliders cannot take anything that is made from soya bean. Tofu is made with a solidifying powder that could cause health problems in gliders when taken too much so the best is not giving any.

Our sweat salty mah. Contains alot of minerals. Gliders like to lick up sweat hahha.

That is a good site. That is not the amount of calcium. It shows which food has the highest calcium to phosphorus ratio. We should give foods that are high in calcium and low in phosphorus. Since a lot of fruits are low in calcium, this is why we must give calcium supplements.

i feed honey dew to my joey today he love it

but when i feed him mix, he will lick it but then it will produce pieces of sand like thingy and fall down from his mouth.

i was quite puzzle with that thingy, why after licking the mix it will produce those thing? when i press on it, it will become the mix back but juz a bit solid without water.

crazymouse_yyh about the rep-cal and rep-vital, what is the brand of that supplement ? It is call aristopet ?
What i can do for that? Is it just for making mix food or can simply add on those food on sugar glider ?

Hamster vitamin drops ( got alot type, got honey, berry, vege ) from delikate, is it those vitamin drops, i look those ingredient quite fat fat. Is ok to let sugar glider having it ?

Yes, it is Aristopet, that is the manufacturer. Name of product is Repti Cal and Repti Vite. Rep Cal and Rel Vital is a different brand and different Manufacturer. It is to add on any food that is to be fed on sugar gliders. If you add in mix, no need on fruits....

What in the world were you looking at? What you mean fat fat? Vitamin drops is in a bottle, liquid, is to be mixed into the drinking water.

Aiya i thought those snack drop that provide vitamin and minerals. I can't found those vitamin drop,

I don't think you read what I stated.... I already said a few times, Repti Vite...... but you still don't get it.

All mixes can be kept for 1 month. Websites do stated that it is a month's supply. You better read carefully, you seem to be missing out, even my statement above also you missed out. Read back my other postings, I also stated Repti Cal and Repti Vite are the only safe supplements to give.

OK i keep seaching for that, anywhere thank you for the info and make me clear about that.

Repti-cal is for calcium, repti-vite is for vitamin & mineral, so these two thing add in for mix food will be ok. ( Am i right? XD)

Hmm about the mix food for 1 month is under froozen or just normal refrigerator that keep soft drink?

Can wait to make a mix food for my Ah Pit.

If you add the calcium and vitamin everyday, it has to be less than 1 pinch. But what I do is put everything in the mix and freeze. 1 small spoon of calcium and 1 small spoon of vitamin. Use the kfc spoon that you use to eat the mash potatoes.... Teaspoon also can but must be level teaspoon.

You have to keep in freezer, not where you put soft drinks. It is keep in the place where you put ice and meat.

If the mix food broken or become bad, is it will smilly or anything i know that is already bad food already? I scare later havn't 1 month already become bad food already.

Make sure it is not too young. Pet Safari are not always truthful with age. Never be tempted to take really young gliders unless you have done your research on raising underage joeys and know how to keep 1 in an incubator....

Today i just get my repti-cal and repti-vite, i have ask the pet shop is it will restock? They say the stock is new arrive, but the expire day will be 2008 apr and march, but they say after expire day also can use, is it true ???

Later go make some mix food for my Ah Pit.
Oh yea 1 thing that come up with my mind, everytime when we want to take a sponn of mix food, so we take out from the refrigerator, after that we put back after use, but is it nice for the mix food that put in take out from refrigerator everyday?, Those food like meat, fish or what else if doing like that the food will spoil.

If the mix food with egg, is it better that don't use the egg yolk? I feel like don't give will be better.

Firstly, the stock is old. Any Repti Vite and Repti Cal that expires in 2008 is stock from 2005. I did say the stock would expire in 2008 a few post before. The manufacturer made the product to have a shelf life of 3 years.... after the expiry date, it can only be used for another 5 months, after that cannot be used anymore. The local distributor of Aristopet won't get new stock till the old stock expires. This is normal in business.

The food, you should never defrost it completely. Only take out from the freezer for 30 minutes, scoop out what you need and return back. It will not spoil. I have been doing this and also selling it since October 2006, no complications. If you defrost completely and return back and keep doing this, of course it will spoil.

Hmmm.... how come people always mistaken that the egg yolk is bad? Do you know that all the nutrients and minerals are all in the egg yolk? The egg white is just protein. How would a baby chick survive in the egg if it doesn't have egg yolk? That is common sense that the yolk is nutritious. If the recipe says use whole egg, then use it. DO NOT change the recipe at all. Follow it, if not, you will miss something crucial out of the diet.

Keep in freezer, the frozen part. If you take out and keep back before it completely melts back, it will not spoil. Same rule with ice-cream.

Egg, put everything lar, even the original recipe they put in with the egg shell! Why do you say the yolk is not good pulak?

Just a suggestion, if so mafan to do, just buy lar.

Ah, yah.... honey is not really good if given too much. I actually prefer fruit jams.... the ones without added sugar and preservatives are quite expensive but make excellent licking treats hahahah.... good fruity sweeteners too for mix.
