Mahogany Gliders are endangered species already.
Squirrel Gliders, some people in the US do keep them as pets, they are bigger in size than Sugar Gliders but has very similar looks.

Hi Everyone here,
I am new here and read alot of information here. I seen a few pair of Joeys in JB for sale and intend to buy a pair. Need to get the answer for the following questions before buying them. Is Sugar Glider consider an endanger spies? Do you need a permit to keep them in Malaysia? Would appreciate if someone can give me the answer. Thank you. |

malboy98,
Nope, unfortunately keeping gliders here in Malaysia does not need a permit or license. And nope, they are not endangered species. However, the care and maintenance is very important in keeping a glider, so do be well prepared before getting them. ----- Haizzz, kesian also kesian, but we can't do anything. Just going there to watch or see them in such condition is heartbreaking especially when knowing the fact that you can't do nothing to help. Out of pouch joeys does not have wet furs, it could be wet because of something else or the conditioned they are kept in. Damn, if only I could burn those shop down KP Added on October 9, 2007, 10:20 amA message from Iggy ![]() ---------- Iggy being curious or I'd like to say, kissing the camera ![]() ---------- Finally, another Iggy's curtain adventure... ![]() Enjoy! QUOTE(kayz1e @ Oct 9 2007, 10:54 AM) nice pics you have there KP keep them coming ps : out of curiosity, have ur joey ever bit u ? i mean till it bleed Thanks! That's my heartthrob Haha. Mine is not a joey anymore. And I did not get mine as a joey, I got him when he is already sub-adult. He had no proper human bonding, thus was fierce and crabby bugga. Yes, he has bitten me till bleeding countless times. Following the glider rule book, I take the bite to show that I mean no harm to him. His fierce biting and crabbing attitude lasted for the first 2-3 weeks only. Although he will still bite if he really dislikes something or at fear, he is now the sweetest glider I've ever had KP |

Haha, I'm using a normal digital camera only, Nikon L3.
Then a bit of adjustment and cropping using Photoshop I wish could use a Digital SLR so that can use high shutter to capture movement. They move a lot lah, always also get blur2 pixs. Those are the better ones only KP |

Thanks Kikiz
--- Most adult glider will have brownish belly due to musking and pee stain. When joey nice and white, but it will not remain the same when they grow later. So you have to love them as they are. KP |

Haha, it's very difficult to get them still just to scrub the belly.
If you are able to do so, sure a lot of people will queue out your door. KP |
