hm i think short haired dogs.. like pug, beagle, dachshund, bloodhound..
bare in mind, they intend to get skin diseases than any other breed.. this cause by their short hair.. and the tropical weather ..
but if your dog get enough nutrition, weekly bath then i guess it may be the dog is allergic to something some dogs are allergic to chicken..

Yea, lamb based kibbles are better than chicken based. That's what I was told and what everyone seems to know but scientifically, I do not know the reason why. Possibly because chicken are sometimes injected with hormones?

Yes, I do give my dog homecooked food sometimes. I will cook them simple dishes. Minced meat + egg and minimal oil, just cook like that and pour it on top of the kibbles and let them eat. But it's seldom I do that because I believe kibbles are more balanced diet for dogs.

i wouldnt say home food is not advisable..
sometimes i gave my dogs home food too.. rice, boiled diced carrots and potatoes, and minced chicken or beef..
but..not all the time.. u can research on food nutrients that are necessary for dogs..
some people would go for rawmeats and bones.. some people prefer kibbles..
for me.. i do mix here and there..
but for studying or working people like me..
kibbles is still the best choice..easy to hand them.. and we do not need to be busy to prepare the food.. and all the nutrients are there! smile.gif
dont worry about what your furkid had.. if you research ..you may find a better answer..
that's my opinion.. smile.gif

Most muffins and cakes may contain chocolate and chocolate is a big NO to dogs, so you be careful with what you feed it.

Any dog food you can find in supermarket is not advised. Pedigree, Alpo, Eukanuba - go for something else.

Yes, really.

Yes, d*** Van Patten's Natural Balance. It's hard to find this brand, so far I've only seen it at Seapark Pet Supplies in SS2. It is indeed a very good brand of dog food and my furkids had finished at 7kg and 15kg. Now, I am changing to Blackwood 3000 (Lamb) for a change of taste.

Sorry when I started this topic, I didnt know about Royal Canine. One reason its not in the list is that it is TOO EXPENSIVE. Possibly the most expensive dog food in the market.
