eaglepack consider good kibbles. But if u r willing to spend more, and ur puppy can tolerate with higher protein food, then no problem loh

I used eagle pack for almost two years - rotated among the holistic ones, all ok except for the duck variety which resulted in slight skin problems. I dab novacote oil on the kibbles. Fur is noticably duller whenever i discontinue novacoat.
Then i switched to Orijen, and stopped the novacoat. Fur looked visibly better! Unfortunately after about a month, my girl developed rashes - protein percentage too high i suppose. Am now using natural balance. Skin looks as good as with orijen, minus the rashes. Conclusion - Eagle Pack is certainly decent, but for the price you can get better. IIRC a pack of Eagle Pack Holistic Chicken costs almost as much as a similar pack of Orijen! This post has been edited by madmoz: Feb 16 2008, 10:43 PM |

I used to feed EaglePack Hollistic before, it doesn't suit my Silky. She shed alot of fur. I fed the fish flavor.

QUOTE(joanalooidog @ Feb 16 2008, 10:00 PM) eaglepack consider good kibbles. I don't know my pup will like Eaglepack or not, earlier I mix the old & new kibbles, she doesn't eat much, still got leftover. |

I didn't read much, threw away the packaging already. Breeder is the one who picked for me. Is it chicken flavour? I don't see any chicken/beef there. i think this is the premium type.
what flavor to feed ur dog depends on ur dog herself...one brand suits a person's dog doesn't mean it will suit ur dog |

She starved for 3 days before starting to 'behave' herself...I think 2 meals for her should be alright. |

QUOTE(babymiki @ Feb 16 2008, 11:12 PM) i bought the 2.5KG pack I think (don't really remember the exact weight)...after I fed about 1/4 pack, I noticed my bed was full of her fur..abnormal...then I changed to another brand Wow, that's pretty scary. 1/4 can see result already... Mine is 3KG, need 3 containers to store all of them, average size containers. |

She starved for 3 days before starting to 'behave' herself... I see, I think 2 meals should be ok, because the breeder all this while feed her only 2 meals daily, 7am and 5pm. I tried 3 meals today, she just won't eat. Biasa already me think. The portion that I gave is just nice, not too much and not too less. Water didn't drink much, I always feed her using a plate, the water feeder is really crap. I think I wanna buy the steel plate where I can hang one. |
