QUOTE(joanalooidog @ Dec 18 2007, 02:09 PM) so far those who feed higher protein kibbles (innova evo, orijen, acana....) got experience loose stools or not?? For the 1st few days, yet. It happens..... but after their stomach and digestion gets used to it, the stool will harden.I heard that especially evo, very easy got loose stools one wor. Some dogs won't experience loose stools at all while some will in the first few days. My Chelsea had loose stools for the first 2 days, then later the stool become firmer and firmer and now is hard and easy to pick. If she poo on carpet, you won't see any stools stuck to the carpet. |

Same here, for the first few days i switched to Orijen, the stool seems looser, but after that, firm already, now easily picked up without staining.

Casper vomits often. We often think that its because he is hungry and his stomach build up acid, so we give him more food but that didnt help solve the problem. In fact, he still does vomit some times, mostly in the morning and yesterday, Moonie did too.
Anyone can share some experience of why my dogs are vomitting sometimes? |

QUOTE(babymiki @ Dec 18 2007, 10:20 PM) zeist, yes both orijen but one puppy one adult. My sister told me that they actually vomitted in the cage. Sometimes, in the evening, Casper also got vomit in the cage before... Too bored wont cause vomit, is it? I stopped bringing them out for these few weeks. WAiting for Moonie to get her last vaccination this Sat before taking them out for their daily walks... That should not be the cause, right?pennywise, after they eat, did they induldge in playing? |

That should not be the cause, right? mayb got gas in their stomach?? mayb kibbles not suitable for them??Try change kibbles see, like eaglepack holistic, got added enzymes for digestion. and mayb go get some supplement which is good for digestion, can ask vet for this supplement. just my opinion lah. Fifi will vomit sometimes also, reason unknown, but i think is empty stomach coz vomitting bile. Added on December 19, 2007, 9:25 am QUOTE(zeist @ Dec 19 2007, 12:29 AM) The 1st kibbles to feed them is wat the breeder is feeding them. Get a small pack 1st, then when its almost finish, get ur desired pack, small pack also, then change slowly. For me lah, if my dog is small breed, I'll get those higher quality one, like orijen, innova, nutriedge, eaglepack.........although more expensive, but size small, so eat less loh. But if big breed dog, will go for Blackwood, nutrochoice, back2basic,purina proplan.......big size, eat more. But if got money, then only change to higher quality one. For eukanuba, some say got smelly poo, but some got no problem with, u think u lah. This post has been edited by joanalooidog: Dec 19 2007, 09:25 AM |

Enzymes for digestion eh? OK. I will try it out. While we are on the topic, those 15kg dog food, do those bags come with seal or we have to keep them in a container? I'm planning to buy a 15kg bag, brand undecided but preferably one with seal because I dont have a container to store 15kg of kibbles.
I opened a bag of 7.75kg Evanger for Casper and Moonie on 1st of Dec and by now, more than half is gone. I think it will only last a month. So I need to get a bigger pack next and share bit with my gf. |

i think cannot drink too much water after meal is bcoz it will actually wash away the stomach acid that is used for our food digestion...including our furkids too..
