i fed my 2 babies with nutriedge and they seems to enjoy it. later i tried purina and they only eat the slamon taste. i went back to the pet shop to get the nutriedge but they told me OUT OF SROCK so they recon nutro choice to my baby, its kinda big bite and my baby dun like it. however the pet shop told me that if we pamper them and gv them the small bite (which is meant for small breed dog), they cant wash away the dirt in their mouth. so thats y i bought it. i bought the small to try then.
what is yr opinion on this? is it true? |

The teeth ah..... big kibbles does help with teeth cleaning, but then the best is actually to give them chew toys, raw bones and we brush their teeth, then sure get sparkling teeth LOL.
My boxer Toby got white teeth coz he chews on his nylon bone alot while my lab Tammy got plaque build up on her back teeth coz she don't chew on her nylon bone. That's the result from eating kibbles. |

QUOTE(iluv2zzz @ Dec 29 2008, 04:15 PM) So far I have never encounter any kibbles with worm. from my experience, most worm come with the packaging. it is mostly supplier or manufacturer's fault. sometime they repack their food, then problems come. When you buy check the packaging if got holes or not. Sometimes, it already got worms inside before you buy it and you don't realize. Some petshop dun keep clean enough. Or ter-poke a hole when they arranging the packing without realizing it. Then humidity attracts worm. Then after you buy home the kibbles, keep it at dry place. Use multiple container if possible, so the remaining can be keep fresh. Do not buy big pack, make sure your dog can finish all of them around 2 months. Too long not fresh, and also not healthy already. |

I just search online... Nylon is non harmful plastic... It is not digestable so if the dog eat the chew nylon, they will come out from the poo...
So, it is quite safe 1... Previously, I throw 1 nylon bone away when i saw my dog eat it... LOL ... Now only I know it is not harmful for dog 1... |

It may cause blockage, and that is the thing you will never want to happen to your dog. Not only he will weak, throw out everything he eat, and you need to send him for xray + operation if its too big to come out as poo poo So, it is quite safe 1... LOL... I think may be you misunderstood... The nylon bone is quite hard... They are not like chicken bone or any other animal bone that the dog might get choke when eating them ... They will chew the nylon bone bit by bit (because it is hard) and consume the nylon (may be is in powder form or whatever but defintely will be as big as the chicken bone) What I am concern previously is whether the nylon is harmful to the dog or not...

Ah? How a dog eat a nylon bone? My dogs chew on it, not eat. Only rawhide is edible. Nylon and rubber is safe if eaten, but only in tiny pieces. If swallow big piece, sure blockage.

Am using Innova Puppy Dry Food for now, seems like the best choice, those super premium has too much protein for a young dog.
The other choice was Artemis Puppy Medium/Large Breed. The shop in SS2 really has a good selection. |
