i dont know about pet epicure, so i cant do comparison. but TU rescue cats and dogs, they have 170 cats and 30 dogs all are strays and abandoned. they only sell selected product which are in high quality. but no matter how good the kibbles are, BARF is still the best one. so they produce themselves. most of the cats were taking Orijen, but since Australlia recall issue and 2 cats die and 1 cat no hope to cure, they stopped Orijen and give Artemis. So far stool smell and shape are better, they like Artemis also. Their dogs like Artemis also. For me, maybe Artemis "extrinsic" ingredients are not as good as Orijen, but stool proves that it is easier to digest, so i think is a matter of processings rather than ingredients. That's why Artemis is more expensive than Orijen, but i think worth it.

But no matter how good is Artemis, it is certainly not as good as BARF in the end. BARF is ways too better than any kibbles, or dehydrated meat like Addiction. It is not expensive if compared with can food and for long term health. If you treat your dogs like your son or you dont like stool smell, do try BARF you wont regret.

Artemis 6.8kg are puppy RM138 adult RM132 Maximal RM148 before 15% discount. so you just minus 15% then is promotional price.

I like Natural Balance Organic, but Sg Long here dont have. other cheaper Natural Balance is same with Regal i think, so sometime i take Regal when i dont have money...haha

Added on December 5, 2008, 2:49 amNews, Sigma 7 is launched in Malaysia. I have got some samples to test. So far stool no problems.

I read from another thread mentioned that Artemis is made by Diamond. I also saw a lot of bad review for Diamond manufacturer.

What's you guys opinion?

Artemis is still rated 6 star in dogfoodanalysis. I know that website can be biased and I tried Artemis, I find it OK. Nothing impressive cause I bought a small bag only.

My favorite brands are still NAtural Balance and Evanger.

1. Alpo is not good. Whatever you can find in the supermarket is not good.
2. BRands to avoid - Alpo, Pedigree, Eukanuba
3. There is a kibble thread in this section of the forum, go with popularity of the lot and you wont be mistaken.
4. Leftovers are... ? Usually, human food is cooked with oil, salt, sugar, perasa, etc - all this is harmful to your dogs. Too salty will cause fur loss, sugar leads to diabetes, dogs can hardly digest oil so they turn fat easily, etc. It's best if you avoid human food on dogs.
5. If you dogs dont eat, take it up and continue the next day. Teach it the meaning of HUNGRY so he wont be so demanding.

Worms? MOST brands got worms! some dont have, but i am sure you can find interesting things in the packaging, no matter how branded it is!

Recently we found Artemis got a lot of worm. Last time Orijen got fish bone. Sigma 7 also worms......endless one!

Eukanuba ah? STOP it lah! sorry i am mean too, but see how IAMS do testing....erm..... Eukanuba and IAMS same mother company.

happy with what you are feeding? you dont have to blame yourself, but they COVER all this to public. Now i tell you.

So far I have never encounter any kibbles with worm.

When you buy check the packaging if got holes or not. Sometimes, it already got worms inside before you buy it and you don't realize. Some petshop dun keep clean enough. Or ter-poke a hole when they arranging the packing without realizing it. Then humidity attracts worm.

Then after you buy home the kibbles, keep it at dry place. Use multiple container if possible, so the remaining can be keep fresh. Do not buy big pack, make sure your dog can finish all of them around 2 months. Too long not fresh, and also not healthy already.
