3k for these things

kazama,

3k is the price different S & G, but i saw outside bodykit installed can be get around 1.2-1.5k (material making is different & no LED in spoiler)

as a result, minus it, the remain 1.5k is for black interior (you should know only color is different, the material making is the same) and optitron meter. that all.

finallly, it means that the you pay 1.5k for optitron meter....sign....huh

That why i felt its more worthy to get the G instead. The E spec is much more worthy than the previous vios where ABS, EBD and BA were standard for the E spec.

I beg to differ. Being a market leader and a global brand, I really don't think Toyota is that gullible to place their model lines so close to each other.

The E model is not equipped with dual SRS airbags, only one. The interior is predominantly beige. The center panel is silver. The rims are only 14". The rear disc brakes are drums instead of solids. The meter is analogue.

The G model is not equipped with Aerokits. The interior is also predominantly beige. The center panel is also silver. The meter is still analogue.

The S model is equipped with Aerokits. The interior is dark grey. The center panel is grey. The meter is optitron.

At first, I had the same thoughts, hence I initially went for the G model. But after thinking for a few minutes: the time and effort I'll have to spend cleaning the beige interior which will obviously be prone to dirt and water stains, the amount of scratch marks I'll get on the center panel, the amount of money I'll have to spend on bodykits and the lack of attraction on the meter, I immediately changed my mind and went for the S model instead.

I mean, if you can fork out so many grands for a car, why not just top up a couple more and go for the best they have and not to regret thereafter?

I choose not to get S because I hate the useless spoiler. Plus it sooner or later the screw of the spoiler will rust faster than any other car parts - AFAIK the spoiler is attach-on. Plus it is more difficult to wash/wax as it has hard to reach section. I will get S if they don't have the spoiler but instead offer mudguards. tongue.gif

I used to wow on optitron meters but, after thinking deep, it will be normal like using non-optitron.

The E model doesn't have integrated audio, no 6 speaker as well, no electronic wing mirror and just body side signal.

I clocked 15.3km/l for the refueling, and 13.5km/l after 1000km service. See how lah. By this weekend, will refuel again after 350km journey through East Coast highway (remind me no speeding, hehe!)

Actually at first also i plan to get G but then i want the car to be sporty so i choose S. The interior is black that is the most significant differences. If yo plan to change the interior to be black it would be more expensive to be customize. When the SA came to my house to sign the agreement he even show me the bodykit outside got but in the end black interior dominates

Welcome to the club!

Wah, washing already? Good strategy, since when I had my old Proton Wira, every time sent to car wash, it came back with dents and chipped-off paints (must be from the residual sands / stones on the sponges)

When you all get your vios, did your salesman offer you the tint? Did you all accept it? How much roughly?

Yes, they offered, price ranging from RM1.2K to RM1.5K. It is called SolarTint, which apart from offering protection from the sun, it also prevents the windows from being shattered to pieces.

I didn't take their offer though.

New Vios Drivers,

Please share with me your current fuel consumption. Mine currently at RM 72- 75 can drive 450 KM - 475 KM (MAX).
I really feel quite dissappointed with the fuel consumptions. By calculating this, it is like almost RM 0.155 /KM.

Actually i going at 1.5 cent.

Interior also compare already and S dominates. Even the seats colors is much more better than milky color and easier to take care too.

Rear skirting also out already just cost around 300++ with painting. When you on it looks less tall (dunoo how to say it)

barrylin, in other word, add skirt will make the car look 'lower', hence sporty ...

most people opt for lowered spring ... which is more sporty and increase handling ... but sacrifice the comfort ...
