MAC is way much more expensive than PC. That's why we stick with PC. A normal mid-end spec AMD PC cost around RM4000+ while with same spec for MAC would cost you RM9000+.

Is not we don't want to shift to MAC is because of the costing. devil.gif

I tested the new M1 to compare with my mid-end spec AMD PC, running on Adobe Premiere Pro. M1 will be laggy while processing the video while my PC is running smoothly. Mac M1 will have a way to go on catching up the performance.

Lucky I didn't bought Mac or else I be very regret now in term of cost and performance.

I like Mac is when you turn off the application, it free up 100% memory of the application took up when it was running. While on Windows-based PC, it did not free up the memory 100%. That's while after long hours of running our PC will becoming laggy while Mac don't have this issue. Linux also won't have this issue. Not sure what is the reason while Windows having this issue.

I'm using operating system since MS DOS to Windows 3.11 to Windows Me to Windows XP to Windows 2000 to Windows Vista to Windows 8.1 to Windows 7 to Windows 10 and now testing on Windows 11. Running on Linux Red Hat, Ubuntu and Kali. MacOS would be one of the best and most user friendly OS. Most powerful OS still Linux kick a$$.

The problem with Win 10 is because a lot of people abused the Kernel mode driver (Those drivers ask for admin privilege during installation. Even some games did that), and they are buggy.

If you stay with user mode, there is no way you can leave memory behind after shutting down. If you came from the 386 era, you should have heard of the word Protected Mode.

Viruses or some unknown services (games are notorious for this) installed and running at the background with also cause this problem.

And finally Win 10 preload some of your commonly used application into memory, so that it will open much faster when you need it. Those memory seems like occupied, but in fact they will be released immediately when needed.

This TPM and CPU supported list going to make Win 11 a failure if they keep insist with the list.

Well, people already are hacking the installer to works on old CPU and mobo.
It just the installer having hardware check gatekeeping older hardware. Seen people say it works on Ivy Bridge (intel 3xxx series),
so will give it a try on my age old Sandy Bridge (intel 2xxx series) as well later some other time see if it works.

I currently downloading the ISO, with this method : https://www.windows11.dev/ce7in/windows-11-...so-download-33j (run it as admin, or else you got download fail)
And the hacks in question is mentioned here : https://nerdschalk.com/how-to-replace-appra...ndows-11-setup/

Obviously do this at your own risk laugh.gif
Seriously I'm doing fine with W10 since beta, I probably don't need the extra security they trying to push.
If this works on my ancient CPU just gonna check out what shit design they doing this time and see how customizable it is.

edit: welp, no luck so far.
People are running W11 on hardware even older than mine. Not sure what I missing, booted into the modified ISO but still saying my system don't meet requirement. hmm.gif

//--

There is another way which is through Windows Update, but this one obviously require you to replace your existing W10. (make an image backup for your W10 before doing so)
https://www.reddit.com/r/windowsinsiders/co...ows_11_insider/
But eh, I kinda too lazy to do this. sweat.gif I prefer the ISO method to dual boot.

this reminds me early jump ship to Windows 8/8.1(Win 10 alpha lol), trust me, there will be windows 11.1 or 12.
Windows 10 itself already slow to crawl but ms just keep pushing update without optimization.

Open windows explorer took more than 10 sec on 3700x which is absolute dog shat

your drive is dying laugh.gif

if you're on a decent PC (not ancient single core, 1gb ram...) but suffering from severe lag, it's usually a sign of storage failure.
seriously start backing up your valuable data & replace your boot/storage drive.

Seriously? It is only 1 to 2 seconds wait to open Windows 10 Windows Explorer in my older year 2016 laptop.

For new PC, it was instant in Windows 10 or Windows 11.

You should check your hard drive, it might probably dead soon.

There's no ISO for Insider version?

Another way would be to dual boot another Win 10 then join insider for this second OS.

You got few HDD on your system? It can cause to slow down as the drive slow to load data.
My 9 years old i5 CPU runs as fast as my 2700X in navigating around Windows. It only have Sata SSD as it's storage.

Windows 10 itself is sluggish due to it's own malware. scanner. Trust me, half of your cpu resources was used to real time scanning those unimportant things.

Windows is too complicated and full of security issues, hence the scanner, for casual usage should use Linux, not Microsoft power virus

Just enabled fTPM on my MSI Mortar Arctic, this board is 4 years old,
i guess the scalper can keep the tpm module for themselves, most recent AMD board that's based on B300 and onward should support W11, same for Intel.

for testing or casual use, may be, for work, nope.
beta OS are prone to crash or bluescreen, which is not something you can easily revert back to good old Win 10, if you do, expect more than half day of down time.
