It became ok already around 11.50pm just now
Probably due to congestion or some minor interruption in my area

Ping were high, download speed severely capped

For some reason, I kept getting back the same IP range 42.189.xx.xx since the slowdown

maybe something is not right with your fibre cable or connector if download speed too low

It went back to normal around 11.45pm
So nothing wrong with the fibre connector or cable in my premise
Not sure bout what happened at TM's side tho

maybe got emergency maintenance done by TM in your area that caused this.

keep getting same ip range meaning IP allocation in your area maybe not enough so only can get only same range.

This probably due to congestion issue in your area when many users utilize their connection.

I also experience the same issue few month ago one night.
The connection back to normal after midnight.

Yes for me. for a couple of commercial VPN providers. Those that employ M247 servers have been bad for days. Basically packet loss almost whole day ever since that day they switched from Level3 back to PCCW routing. Since yesterday VPNs that use CDN77 also having bad (~40%) packet loss and frequent disconnections. Actually, it's even worse now compared to last month before TM's so called fix. For the commercial VPN provider I trust the most, I'm basically unable to use their SG servers since July started. Currently posting this from JP server now.

On the rented VPS side, I only have experience with DO. Fired up a new droplet yesterday to run a WireGuard+DNSCrypt tunnel, and so far it's been okay. Latency could be better (last year I could get below 10ms), but overall it's been stable with no packet loss.

Aside from SG servers, I even got Youtube buffering yesterday and today on my Android TV, tested on both local and international content. A lot of FaceTime video dropped calls this past week also, and I double checked with mobile data (Celcom) and calls didn't drop anymore, so must be TM issue.

TL;DR - been a sh!t week overall.

CDN77 routes back to TM via NTT MY or Equinix only can get stable latency <15ms (only certain unifi IP range could get).

another route is via NTT HK which have serious congestion >60ms
