So huge private peering pipe...
Really Unbelievable!
Just for a specific hosting.
Maybe is ovh contact tm for this pipe,OVH too rich for this.
I dont think TM will contact OVH for this.
But really happy about that,i am going to rent singapore server only from OVH now.

hello! hehe sorry for noob question

what does this 40 gbps connection mean to us end users? does this fix the daily connection issues? will this help with gaming ping too?

Probably yes and no.
Mostly yes for connection to OVH SG Server will be 99% stable then before. And Might lower abit bandwidth usage for other TM to SG pipe and the problem will be smaller. (Like current Equinx and SGIX connection)
No is because most of the time is TM reroute the connection and causing high latency issue. And also from what i suspect,TM internal network still having congestion issue. So problem might still exists.

Gaming ping might be only stable for game server that hosted on OVH SG.
But as long as TM having the new pipe with SGIX,i think just give them some time, current connection to SG might be better later.

And the best part for me about the private peering between OVH and TM is because i am using their server for my personal usage.
So if i setup the vpn on the server,it would be possible to get very stable connection with the VPN.

I have 9 dedicated server with OVH, I complained this issue to OVH multiple times, the last time I complain them about this issue, OVH tell me that they are ready to do anything to improve this connection problem for TMNet. They say they will even pay for the peering shit, its just that TMNet dont reply to their emails and messages. Looks like OVH finally get to peer with TMNet after a year of struggle. I also do think that OVH paid for most of the peering costs.... btw good result is good result.

No wonder cellmapper.net loads way faster on Unifi connection here than before at night.... cellmapper.net uses OVH for hosting/CDN.

Hopefully 40Gbps is plenty for us

this improvement is only connectivity in between TM and OVH SG only and not represent for all SG connectivity.

you can try run a traceroute from ur device see whether is the same as unifi fiber/streamyx. becos certain unifi mobile user have different routes due to the IP prefix

Unifi mobile use TM as its upstream to provide connectivity to its users.

So, unifi mobile users will also use same routing as tm unifi users.

This is ridiculous. Why the latency spike to 300ms right after my TM gateway.

The problem is latency go up to 300ms even within TM network itself (10.55.49.17).

It may be their route server on US
or their Internal Network Problem

Noticed my VPN performance was slow. Disconnected and did traceroute. Seems the TM fuckers changed back to pccw again. Can anyone confirm?

Latency is okay, but very high percent of packet loss.

high possible problem is from M247 SG endpoint.

becos same routing using over CDN77 SG no issue via PCCW SG the ping previously was 40ms++ now only 15ms.
