Just sideload the real Disney+ app (download from trustable APK sites like APKmirror.com) into the TV, install your preferred VPN. Subscribe D+ using iTunes gift card via App Store. It's around RM45 a month. Totally worth it for its better bitrates, region-hopping, IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Atmos. Disney+ Hotstar is just pure garbage, please stop giving them money.

I used to own both real D+ and D+ Hotstar on my X90J and all I can say is the difference in quality is staggering.

Fck Hotstar for ruining D+ experience for us Malaysians.

Edit: for iTunes gift card purchase, u need an overseas Apple ID account and gift card as it won't work with ur Malaysia Apple ID. Just create a new ID with VPN of your preferred region (I suggest USA as it's easier to find gift card sellers in Shopee) then buy gift cards according to your region on shopee, there are lotsa trusted sellers.

Which VPN did you use? When you use the VPN, are you able to get Hulu content as well? I might do this since there are couple of Hulu shows that I'd like to watch. Also, the difference of quality is tempting too. I always feel like Disney+ Hotstar output quality is subpar/average.

I'm using Windscribe VPN, latency very good, speed on my 300Mbps fibre is sufficient enough for highest quality 4K on D+ and Amazon Prime Video. Haven't tried Hulu though but I'm sure it'll work too. Btw, if you subscribe to D+, you'll get Star+ tab in the app alongside the Marvel, Pixar, Disney, Nat Geo tabs. It's basically Hulu contents for viewers outside the US (eg of you connect your VPN to Singapore or UK). Most of Hulu contents are available there iinm (Hulu is partially owned by Disney) so no need for a separate Hulu subscription IMO.

Edit: I do have free slot for my D+ subscription, if you're interested just PM me smile.gif

I was at Sony Curve this past weekend, they have 1 unit of 85 X95K in the box, yes price is definitely very absurd. 28999 - 2k discount 26999.  They didnt have anything for display though, so I cant view the TV. How's this TV compare to say QN95B?
*
I have not actually seen a QN95B yet but I know the local QN95B is of the VA version ( with the View angles tweaks ) , which is a good thing consider how many were ranting on last year QN95A . So if it is anything like the last year QN95A , it is probably a very impressive TV .

As for the X95K , it is Sony's first MINI LED and its performance is disappointing . Its specification is inferior to the ones found on Samsung's .
I just don't think Sony's focus is on the high end LCD anymore . They are completely overshadowed by the QD-OLED & wRGB line up .

For typical users , the QN95B is better in almost every way . Especially if you are like me , spend a lot of times to fiddle around with the settings .

It is basically a mini supernova , sustaining @ 2000 cd/m2 which translates into very powerful performance under strong ambient light .
The FALD on Samsung's has more zones as well and the antiglare filter is superior than the ones found on Sony .

So unless you are so very obsessed with Dolby Vision and must get that ( Samsung TV still doesn't has it ) , probably get the QN95B instead .

Alright thank you for your insight. I will check out QN95B first and see if any Sony Store has the X95K display to view. Yes sustained 2000 cd/m2 is really no joke (yes I am aware that black floor will be raised to maybe greyish black thus affecting HDR, but leave that or even the lack of Dolby Vision aside). I have seen the QN90A before, its indeed a very bright TV. Yes I am looking out for a bright TV to fiddle with TV settings. tongue.gif

Are you sure it has Dolby Atmos in the first place? I also use hotstar but I only saw Dolby Vision logo on supported movies. I have never seen Dolby Atmos logo.

It will only show if your TV or audio receiver support atmos. For example, if I select TV speaker or my atmos capable soundbar, Netflix will show atmos icon. But if I connect my xm4 headphones, it won't show.

I'm facing a WiFi issue with X80J. It cannot connect to WiFi after it is turned off; no matter how I click on the toggle, it won't be enabled. Only restarting the TV or plugging off the power will help.

Earlier I didn't seem to have this issue, but only in the last month or two months I noticed this problem...

I remember in the new update it mentioned it fixes the wifi kept turned off issue. Maybe you can try updating first. Mine's so looking okay, wifi not breaking anymore.

I updated my TV on Friday once I saw your this post. I manually checked for software updates; indeed, there was one in June. I quickly updated it and have been using it since Friday; no WiFi breaking issue anymore. I will return to that house again this Friday; let's see if it will happen again after a week.

Thanks for sharing this piece of useful information. thumbup.gif
