QUOTE(stutzedward @ Dec 11 2008, 09:00 AM) Mikey, PDA fone isn't a desktop PC. You can't really multi-task or open too many programs at the same time. That is why on my iFonz theme, I have "memory" at the bottom of the screen where I usually pop it up and force-close my original Windows application such as Live and Tasks. I am not into the habit of opening many windows and let it stay there taking up uncessary storages. As for texting while incoming calls, honestly I've not faced this problem before with my SMS Chat. Incoming SMS or calls, the S2U2 pops up nicely for me to "slide to answer" the call. i just dont understand why? i always kena anging hanky panky and panky hanky all the times. especially when i was sweating to make emergency calls and receiving sms, such as during meetings and at banks or at airports. my KS20 WILL HANG !!!!! aiyyoyo ...... sre hang one !!! why the koreans are so unkind to me ???? Are u using S2U2? Which version are u using? Try the latest one, A_C contacted me about S2U2 running on KS20 and I've provided some feedback to him, hence the latest version of S2U2 runs really smoothly in my KS20 now. Just tested again while typing this reply and it works well. yeah, i read about your 'famous' S2U2. wondering what is it. is it merely user interface for short cuts? what it does basically? Try to use SKTools to tune yr phone for "Performance", it runs a whole lot faster and smoother. my SKTools DOES NOT HAVE such "performance'" options le. it does cleaning only. But i am sing DrWho's suggested MemMaid for performance management. so far, so godd ...SSHHhhhhhhh ........ I chat a lot using MSN with my brother on the phone thru WiFi, it runs well too, apart from the smallish screen when I use iPhone PCM skin keyboard. you mean you are sing wifi to run the msn? i have not tried it out as my friends are not using wifi enabled hp. looking at the bright sde, aha, i am more up-to-date. wow!!! nonetheless, i will be tring out vdeo calls as i ve just bought a N6120 from a good seller at lyn. doing video calls with misses and girls can be real fun le. gtg. cheers Ed andDrWho (where is he? still at the omnia site right?). Mikey, I believed u've not done a hard reset before rite? Tht's why yr old problems still exists. Maybe there are some 'rubbish' still intact that needs to be thoroughly cleaned.
I'm using DiGi, so no 3G yet for me. I am using Windows Live (MSN messenger) to chat with my brother on his desktop PC elsewhere. Yeah, I am using WiFi for the MSN connection. Mikey,
Touch Response is Haptic Feedback. Use DrWho's way (edit registry - devicemap) to increase the touch sensitivity. I am not using any screen protector, so I hv no problem with the touch response. |

Welcome to this forum and as a owner of KS20.
There is one and only one official firmware for Malaysian user. There is no need to update your firmware. The best way to get rid of all the programs and files installed by the previous owner is to do a Hard Reset. I posted the instruction to do a Hard Reset in this thread. Just check my previous post. P/S: There are two ways of getting rid of LG program. 1. Flash a WM6.1 cooked ROM. That is what I did. 2. Delete LGMenu.exe located at Windows directory. The LGMenu is actually a good program. I have seen others installing it to their non LG WM phone. If you intend to delete it I would highly recommend that you backup a copy before you proceed. U can try the Windows Update option under settings but there'll be no update for it. - Do a hard reset to get the phone back to original factory state. Which LG program do you want to take out? I don't think you can removed any pre-isntalled program by manufacturer as it's set in the ROM. |

How to increase your Storage memory
One of the causes of the WM phone to crash is low Storage Memory. You should have at least 10MB of Storage Memory for the phone to run smoothly. When we install more programs some of the Storage Memory is taken by these programs. There are programs that do not want to be installed in the Storage Card thus taking memory from both Program and Storage. Ringtones has to be located in My Documents, for example. With SKTools you can move programs and folders to the Storage Card thus freeing your Storage and Program Memories. Launch SKTools. At Category, choose Move Data then Move Folder and choose Move the Folder with content. Select the folder or program you wish to move to the Storage Card and press OK and then select the location where you wish to move it to and then press OK again. SKTools will ask you to reconfirm the file and the new and old location. Once you confirm SKTools will again let you know whether it is possible to move the folder and all the files. If it can be move, press OK and you are done Unfortunately only the full SKTools can do this SKTools lite can't. |

'storage memory', do you mean the 'my device' or the 'storage card' within the 'my device'? will try to clean up the internal storage to aby 10MB. guess have to move some songs etc to memory card (storage 2) manually. my SKTools lite cannot do it auto . thanks. Hi,
Another new user here. I bought a 2nd hand machine, and it work fine so far. I need help on :- 1. There is hundreds of contact store in the phone, I get fed-up to delete one by one. Is there anyway to delete all the contacts at once ? 2. I was thinking to do a hard reset, but after reading the older posting, it sound scary. But it should be that hard rite ? Just like re-format our PC. Once I do a hard rest, the machine will automatically reinstall the OS, and other applications at its original state ? 3. Any good sites to share on getting additional applications ? Thanks in advance |

Welcome Lteo
Of all yr problems, just do a HARD RESET. U need not reinstall anything, the phone will be set back to FACTORY SETTING, as if you newly bought it. A lot of good and free applications available, see what's yr need. |

If yr buying a used phone, I will advise to do a HARD RESET before u start putting in yr personal stuffs as well as customizing it to yr liking with application install. Tht way, u get a problem free fone.
If you've built up yr personal data in it, it's difficult and reluctant to hard reset, especially when yr encountering many many problems like lagging and hanging. Besides iPhone, I am also looking into getting another KS20 for 'fun'.. but of cos, hoping for a cheap used one to come by. |

hi, i'm new here (not new user of ks20!)
WM6.1 KisS20.4 Rom for ks20 is really amazing... fast, longer batt, responsive, microSDHC support, fix directdraw prob (can play game now.....) etc, etc...... but i have few suggestion.. 1) UC Package- especially htc touchflo2d for me is annoying & resource eater, so it's up to you.. 2) backup your PIM in winmo6.0 with FdcSoft Pim Backup 2.8 (included with new ROM, 6.1) (so no headache with all your caontact nos) 3) if u like lg bar & psnote, after new rom just forget it.. lg bar not really important to me, but if u can't live without psnote, try to backup the program file(s).. 4)BACKUP NETWORKPROFILES FOLDER IN WINDOWS FOLDER, if not, u will never found celcom, maxis, digi... in autoprofile & need to set the network manually (like me.. |
