I'm using Opera Mini now to reply this in my KS20. I used to b Mobile version user but yeah, its slow! You can install Mini cos it runs on Java.

I install pgm on d phone n not storage card. Use yr card to only store data or music files.

Do you know that you can watch Foreign TV programs via video streaming on your KS20 thru wifi? Check this out, Diamond TV at : http://www.diamondtv.fr/

Been using it for a while. Not bad if you are connected to a fast internet connection.

Morning Ed and wcs,

difficult to discard the rm80 shield. haha, hard earn money le. btw, i have never used stylus before since my first pda motorola e680i (a very stable, intelligent and good hp).

till today i still poke poke my KS20 le. hahaha ..... so darn difficult to type at times.

about voip free calls: -

i installed the skype (i am the account holder) on my previous N81. then i also installed SKOOT (a US based internet service portal), and they worked really well, can make cheap (not free) skype calls. but later i found out that the SKOOT actually charged me little money for each call because the call will conect to SKOOT first, and then re directed via skype to recipient. not as ma fan as it sounds. sound quality also good. but still, it is NOT FREE.

now there must be ways to make FREE internet-based voip calls between wifi users. there must be !!! but where le .... hahaha.

I don't plan to put any screen protectors, not in d future too. My KS20 is pretty scratched now, d bck part. For any fone I use, I never use cover, they meant to b use fully. Tht's a reason why i dun sell them. Just keep as antique.

are you using the Mobile ver 9. something? i'm using that and didn't really feel slow, but LYN looks more natural and easier to navigate.

btw, u guys using icontact burt version? i'm using another standard version (ver 0.99 IINM) till i found this version, it just totally rocks! the call-out/call-in/missed-call is in different colour, much easier to differentiate. long tap to make a call with cool looking bar. t9 for search which makes it easier to search name.

I used to own the KU990, placed a screen protector. After a while, the screen's sensitivity with the stylus decreased. Now, i leave my KS20 without screen protector. Prone to scratches. Anyone faced this senstitvity issue before?

I am using fingers all the time until i bought the invisible shield. it now feels very starchy and jeeyish. i have to literally poke and poke the screen to sms. but tolerable if i am not in a hurry, else it is quite panicking .....

Edward shd be more exeprienced in using his naked fingers as he is not using screen guard too ... ha ha ha ......

hmm... so many questions.. I'll try to answer all.

I tried burts icontact before n never like it as I preferred my iphone dail pad more.

I can't recall which version of Opera mobile i before but for Mini installation, for the first time, I did not hv prob. Yes it needs to connect for first to complete d installation.

I hv no prob at all using my fingers to navigate my KS20. No scr protector.

I set all my pgms on iFonz menu, hence I hv no issue launching them. If u use Today scr, set on d menu or put them up on today scr.

Good Luck.

Added on December 14, 2008, 8:10 amusing s2v to view any other folders or storage card is possible. tap on the arrow facing left to go upper tree folder and small arrow to d right in circle to enter folder. pls read d readme.txt in s2v and learn hw to use it.

Good news for those who want to increase the speed and signal strength of their WiFi connection. KS20 comes with WiFi 802.11 B & G. By default WM sets it at B which is a less superior feature. I don't think there is a provision in the original firmware for us to change this WiFi setting.

You need SKTools to do it. Download SKTools from here: http://s-k-tools.com/index.html?m_downloads.html
You can always use the free Trial version for this purpose. Use this version ; SKTools 4.4.5 (WM5/WM6 QVGA)

At SKTools, choose Tune Up then at the bottom tabs goto Network. At WLAN 802.11 G support select Yes at the top window. You are now set to enjoy a faster speed and stronger strength signal on your WiFi connection tongue.gif

Credit goes to arthos7 who shared this at the Omnia thread.
