thats why lo......maybe thats the main reason that my sistem not stable. :ry:

but i tried with CM I-green 500w true power still fluctuated like that. so i assume that is the mobo itself lo. once it load, it drop to almost the vore that i set in bios. rclxub.gif

as far as i know, sata dont have any jumper to set at all. Coz sata is only supply 1 controller to 1 HDD. so no need jumper to set primary or slave. sata2 HDD normally backward ompatible, shouldnt be big problem running on your rig. wink.gif

For my P4P800x, by default it boot from PATA. have to set priority if using sata to boot. tongue.gif now nomore, i use sata as data storage only. brows.gif

its the mobo problem.last time i faced the same problem but now with my MSI mobo its doesnt fluctuate as much already. laugh.gif

Does anyone know the reason for this?

When I do stress testing using Prime95 Multithread Edition, with the Large FFT test on, one thread would always fail within 30 minutes where as the other thread would go on as though nothing happened.

My processor is stable, raising Vcore did not solve the problem, same goes for the memory, which is also stable. Now currently I'm trying to raise AGP voltage to test, but I hope someone here has this similar problem and share their views on it. smile.gif

I also read that increasing AGP voltage might fry ATI cards, and I have changed the chips that regulate the voltage to a cheaper variant because I accidentally ripped one out before.

All the more for the card to burn. sad.gif

Yo pals... Here i am! laugh.gif Having same problem as u do.. That happened to me when i go over 3.6Ghz. Gromacs stress i face no problem. But when go for Large in-place FFTs sure failed within 3mins. Seems like the procs can been stress and not the memory for my system. My vcore was set to 1.85v, vdimm 2.85v, vAGP 2.6v. Still having the same problem. shocking.gif

P/s: Btw colin, which priority are u running on? Mine was on 10. Full stress..

Aiyak.. Sorry! Typo error la.. It should be 1.55v.. By then.. See my new screen! My new result! Hehe.. Guess i found out what stopping me for go beyond 3.6Ghz liao.. Now running at 3.67Ghz! Near 3.7Ghz! Guess i didnt supply enough vAGP last time thus is makes me cant go beyond 3.6Ghz! Tried few time with 1.6v vAGP really makes my system reboot or hang after 30secs priming with priority 10 Orthos. Guess when hit high speed, the north bridge need more juice from PSU in order to maintain and stabilized the system. Seems like is not my D43 and TCCC ram fault. Blame the wrong part.. blush.gif

Setting as below:

Running at: 3.67Ghz @ FSB245*15
RAM ratio : 3:2 (Well.. havent try on run at 1:1 thou, but can archived 3.67Ghz with 3:2 count ok already for me. laugh.gif)
vcore: 1.5375v (lower down from 1.55v)
vdimm: 2.85v
vAGP: 1.8v (Taking rise with max up the vAGP and i got some surprise! drool.gif)
Full load: 56-57'c (Kinda high for me.. Will try to adjust my cable management agian.. laugh.gif)
North Bridge: 42'c
GC: 58-60'c (Jumping up and down thou.. and i didnt OC the card yet!! shocking.gif! Max vAGP really heat up my GC)

Result:

Satisfy with this result. 3.8Ghz on the way! laugh.gif Although prime for 2hrs only but it can last so long without restart really make me happy like picked gold at road side! whistling.gif
