I have been trying to install but i always got the common issue, which is "system config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found." can anyone help me on the issue?

thats most probably the iso/ image of ur installer disc corrupted.. try md5 check it or re-download

guys...i need some help...newbie here..
i'm trying to install mac os x in vmware. I use iATKOS_v1.0ir2 iso. i mounted the iso wif daemon tools. i'm using vmware workstation 6.
i followed the guide in here
but when i boot it, it shows Apple logo and then pop up this message : "The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point."
tried many times already stil the same problem. Googled thro many websites but stil cant find the solution
anyway, I'm using Dell Inspiron 1420. My specs is:
Intel C2D T8300 2.4 GHz
3GB ram
Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS
Windows Vista Home Premium

Nope, the disc is perfectly fine. In fact I have not only one image. And all discs have been tested to be able to run in other machines.

I remember i have this problem before when i install dunno in Vmware or on my PC.

After a few times, it dissappear already...very strange.

Have you try with a different DVD drive? Try that and see.

The speed is almost the same, with Safari having a slight edge occasionally, but i still prefer Firefox 3 features

On XP, Firefox seems to be faster...but not by much...and IE7 is hopeless slow and buggy junk....if not for Active X, i don't think many people want to use IE 7....it's just horrible.

guys i keep getting waitting for root device while booting OSX installation ... any sifu know how to solve it??

Just got new PC, Core 2 Quad Q9300, Gigabyte EP35-DS3, 2GB RAM & Nvidia 8800GT.

Proceeded installing Kalyway 10.5.2 with default settings, it works !

OS X detect as 1 CPU with 4 cores, unknown CPU. Video stuck to 1024 x 768 and sound works during welcome video. Rather late now, will do further test tomorrow.

try check osx86 wiki page whether ur notebook can install or not here. got few Satellite model there, but donno if it A50 or not.

from wiki page...look for a link on how to install on usb. this usually possible if your laptop can boot from usb (try check in bios whether got this option or not).

for wireless, if u r using intel one, for sure cannot unless intel/pro 2200bg which usually an old card.

i manage to install on my xps1330. most of the thing work OOB. except sound-need patch, ethernet/wireless-no working kext yet, some cosmetic such as batery status etc. btw, i used iAtkos 2.0i

finish install kalyway 10.5.2 last nite..everything went smooth on my compaq v3218TU with C2D..already connect to internet through bluetooth with celcom broadband..my major prob now only is the sound..i checked with hardware overview in the audio section..

Gigabyte EP35-DS4/EP35-DS3 is supported according websites below and also Matrix mention he/she (??) use this board (thanks for info!). Also use Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. I do not know whether 100% problem free, I am gambling it will work.

I have not figure all the stuff yet. Just buy another hard disk for Windows, rather not partition, format and installing, and later redo all over again if things not work out. Booting up Kalyway 10.5.2 is really fast, faster than the real thing !

Now to figure how to dual boot two different OS from two hard disk and also check for hardware problem.

Yes, P35 mobo like my Gigabyte EP35-DS3 are pretty much workable. Lots of success story with it.

There was problems, but basically everything fixe-able.

Hey, i even managed to set it up using the U-mobile ZTE 622 modem and access Internet via Celcom 3G broadband this morning...

The only weird problem is the shutdown/restatart fails to shutdown the PC, everything just clean and halted and screen blanked, but mobo won't shut off. So you need to manually power off.

Dual booting is pretty easy if you use EasyBCD.

btw, does Kalyway has boot camp? I dun see boot camp in my IATKOS....just curious.

I don't have problem starting up and shutting down using Kalyway. Same here, no Bootcamp for Kalyway.
No need Bootcamp for hackintosh, you can always install windows and other OSes. I had download EasyBCD, have not figure out how it works. Acronis boot selector does not work, no response and hang on my PC.

I have problem with 8800gt, it does not support other resolutions. Just got the drivers and opengl, need more time to try. Also some problem with USB. Sound OK and Network OK.

EasyBCD must work with Vista. However, if you use XP, there is a work around by copying the C:\windows\boot folder from VISTA and put it into your XP.

I've tested it and EasyBCD regconized the VISTA boot loader files in XP, although i haven't really install MacOSX and try it out yet on my laptop.

But i've used EasyBCD on my desktop from VISTA. Works great.

I would suggest dump Acronis O/S selector. Lots of people report it doesn't works. But Acronis True Image rocks though, can even image my Mac partition and restore it.

I tried install teh IATKOS on my AMD laptop...no go...hits the same error as someone here....hangs at "Jettisson linker".

Downloading Kalyway and Leo4All now...hopefully Kalyway can finish downloading today..

Have you try NVInject .52? Can give it a shot and see.

btw, I've discovered a Macintosh OSX weakness....IT DOESN'T BURN MULTISESSION DISC!!!

I thought something as friendly as a Mac should do this, unfortunately it doesn't....but i'm not sure if Windows do this also...i always burn with Nero.

Anyway, downloaded Roxio Titanium 9... ....will try it out later.

Same. Got iATKOS but failed at the same spot too. Downloading another Leo4AllV3 & Kalyway will absolutely take days cause I'm using broadband only
