Replace the whole thing

Make sure you are using a patched SMBIOS. Google up for a patched SMBIOS and use that back

Anyway Suk its just cosmetic stuff , osx just gets the wrong information

Again specs specs specs edaward

Its too generic , its like saying 'anyone using acer laptop running on OSX'. You'll get the answer , 'yes' . However it varies from one model to another model

So you gotta be specific about which model and its hardware details

I'm trying to get it to install on an Inspiron 6400.
It has an Intel GMA945, Dual core processor and 1 gig of ram.

So I always can get through the installation. Yes, I do customize it.
But then when I restart and try to access to OS, after the part where it loads (similar to the one when starting the install) I just get a black screen. D:

Help?

This is what I say to folks in irc chat rooms , stop using those crappy distros like iPC and check patches. They screw up your PC. Its true if you're totally new . Those idiots (the distros doesn't know a thing or two they jsut include it thinking that it has all the support) To fix your problem

Its simple

Press F8 , type -v -s

Now you'll see a command prompt

Type

mount -uw /

sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelIntergratedframebuffer.kext (just type appleintelin and hit tab , tab to complete it)

Then type reboot

then press F8 again this time with -v -f

You should get to desktop !

You need to improvise on your skills

type mount -uw /

then type /Sys (a bit , hit tab , Lib (tab ) , extens(tab) , go inside the folder and search for AppleIntel , look for few and delete it off

Alternatively just get MacDrive in Windows and delete it off from windows

It would fix it

I haven't noticed this before but when I do the -v -s thing
It says SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed at some points.
I assume that's bad?

I dunno just throwing it up here.

Um um anyway, it says there is no such file or directory when i put in /system/library/extensions/appleintelintegratedframebuffer.kext.

It just shows your DVD is badly burnt

Are you running this from your DVD or from your local drive

If you're running it from your DVD , there is no such file
