Stay tune guys, Im going to setup new mighty HacPro today with i7 platform as my previous machine just die, the board got BIOS kaput. Looking for a P35 board but I think its gonna take some times. I manage to sold my GTX260 & now, Ive got cheapo 8800GT as VGA.

The basic spec shall be:

i7 920
P6T board
Geforce 8800GT
3GB value ram
170gb partition, dual-boot with Vista X86 which already been installed

Hope everything goes well

If you update the method used & progress in here frequently, I for one will stay very very TUNE to this thread.

I wonder what is your rational for choosing P6T instead of gaygay's GA-EX58-UD5?

I didnt know that lowyat.net has its own hackintosh forums!....wow..this is the place for me now. Just managed to install Leopard Retail on my machine wioth the new chameleon 2.0 RC1 bootloader.Well what i can say its freaking fantastico!!

With the customized themes wow...i got an exact replica of the bootcamp. Heck they even have the EFI-X look theme at voodooforums.

Im one freaking happy camper!!

I've an option of using it as a standard mouse or toggle OSX Inkwell , so that I can write anywhere and it just inputs it !

I wanna do desktop type. I understand that DFI and MSI mobo can direct boot to MacOS X. Is it possible to direct load to Mac OS after flashing the BIOS to EFI? chameleon 2.0 RC1 bootloader looks nice but don't have any manual to install it.

actually most of the motherboards can boot OSX 10.5 Virgin discs

Chameleon 2.0 RC1 has its own installer. If you want , I could upload it for you

So does it means we don't need to flash the BIOS to EFi? Actually i prefer the virgin disc to boot just like normal Mac loading the installer DVD. I think Chameleon is too complicated, which i think it's unneceesary.

hotswap also can not detect in Window/OSX.

Do you edit on HD? If so, is it stable enough?

wanna ask..im trying to install ipc 10.5.6 on benq r47..but seems like this lappy cudnt boot it..many other lappy users with ICH9M/M-E has succeeded their installation with this DVD..is there anything else i can try?

How to format my HDD (NTFS) to MAC format in OSX86 ?

My Primary mac HDD going to full soon

Its HFS+

Use gpartd , or Disk Utility , or you may want to clone your installation partition to a bigger drive as well

renesisx , boot with -v and let me know where it hangs (take a picture)

Since i got a 320GB hdd,

and 160GB for Mac Primary, and 160GB for secondary.

How can i combine both partition into one?

I have a batch of EFI-X coming in early next week.
we also have the Firewire 800 PCI-e cards, Network cards that support jumbo frames, SATA Raid internal and external cards too...

HacPro based on i7 machine halt for time being coz I find my current HacPro still working as it should be. The culprit caused by my PSU.

Yehaaa.. Hail to OS X

I have an Acer Aspire 4530 that I just bought. I would like to install OSX on it. Unfortunately, I don't know where to start. I figured I would be able to boot off one install DVD and at least make it to the install menu. However, I can't seem to get past the first few seconds of the startup sequence.... I've tried AHCI mode and IDE from the Bios. I have tried booting every one with and without -v, -x, -f, and cpu=1. I've tried Iatkos, kalyway, zephyroth, Leo 4 all and ideneb. And they all don't work.

iDeneb 10.5.2 (Boots to "Loading HFS+ file:[/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] from 4230480." then freezes until I press a key. Then the computer restarts.),

Kalyway 10.5.2, (Makes it 100 lines down quite quickly, then restarts computer.)

Leo4all 10.5.2 v2, (Makes it 7 lines down then restarts computer.)

Leo4all 10.5.2 v3, (Makes it 100 lines quite quickly down, then restarts computer.)

iAtkos 10.5.2.(Boots to "Loading HFS+ file:[/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] from 4230450." Then the computer restarts.)

Zephyroth 10.4.8 upon invoking -v -x -f cpu=1 loads lots of code for about 2mins and restart.

I did a lot of reading is insanelymac and other forums but nobody has an answer. I thought a bios mod might be required because I had a desktop running a MSI P35 Neo motherboard that requires flashing a modded bios to work with osx86. However when I delve further into modding bios, I can hardly find info on it. It seems to have something to do with modding the DSDT table in bios, but there's no guide available that I could find.

Oh last but not least, my Specs:
Acer 4530
AMD Turion X2 RM70
160gb HDD
4gb RAM
Atheros 5007 Wireless b/g
Nvidia 9100m G motherboard with integrated GF 9100M

Can any of the sifus here give me any clue to what should I do? Thanks in advance.

PS currently downloading iPC Universal 10.5.6 Final, but I read in another forum, somebody suing the same laptop tried and had the same result.
