I'm trying to get it to install on an Inspiron 6400. It has an Intel GMA945, Dual core processor and 1 gig of ram.
So I always can get through the installation. Yes, I do customize it. But then when I restart and try to access to OS, after the part where it loads (similar to the one when starting the install) I just get a black screen. D:
Help?

QUOTE(prasys @ May 15 2009, 10:16 PM) This is what I say to folks in irc chat rooms , stop using those crappy distros like iPC and check patches. They screw up your PC. Its true if you're totally new . Those idiots (the distros doesn't know a thing or two they jsut include it thinking that it has all the support) To fix your problem Its simple Press F8 , type -v -s Now you'll see a command prompt Type mount -uw / sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelIntergratedframebuffer.kext (just type appleintelin and hit tab , tab to complete it) Then type reboot then press F8 again this time with -v -f You should get to desktop ! Nothing happens when I press tab and typing the whole thing gets me command not found. Am I screwed?

I haven't noticed this before but when I do the -v -s thing It says SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed at some points. I assume that's bad?
I dunno just throwing it up here.
Um um anyway, it says there is no such file or directory when i put in /system/library/extensions/appleintelintegratedframebuffer.kext.

QUOTE(prasys @ May 16 2009, 10:15 PM) It should take you to GUI ! Just keep your fingers crossed ! It... It didn't... D: I waited for over 20 minutes. I doubt it'd take that long. Anyway I think it's worth saying that the first time I tried to install it... It booted up but couldn't detect the trackpad and keyboard... Er... Yeah. I think I should download another distro or something. I'm using iATKOS now =|

QUOTE(gengstapo @ Oct 31 2009, 11:05 PM) Have you try here:- Click meYeah, I have. If I install that, booting normally will ask for a reboot. I had to safe boot and delete it. :S Thanks anyway.

I notice sometimes when I try to install some stuff I get "Please run preinstall script". Is there anything I can do to fix this?
