Heya. Thanks for the heads up. Err, if I need to use EFI String, I need to remove NVInject right?

How to remove it then? From what I heard I need to remove it first before injecting. And if I inject the string right do I need to change my Model ID or some sort?

@@ Thanks!

Yeah u are right, u have to remove nvinject before applying the EFI strings. No need to change any model ID for your graphic card. Just to be safe download and install Leopard Graphics Update 1.0 with pacifist before applying EFI strings on your com.apple.boot.plist. Since ure using the same GC as mine here is the string for u, u could try this see if it works.

this is a copy if my boot.plist.

Ohh well, as reference, you can refer this guru "skitZo`" siggy
It might help you to determine your hardware. In short, Gigabyte board with P35 chipset works best as it most recommend by the PROs out there smile.gif

Hi there, i can help u on this, for the mobo get the gigabyte EP-45-UD3L/R/P, as for the graphic card go for the 9800gtx+ if u got cash or any second hand 8800gt or 8600gt. Processor go for c2d or c2q.

And i think u can't install leopard using the DVD from your macbook pro, u have to get retail leopard disc or one of the modded distros.

cheers!

My so-called HacStandard works fine. I am thankful for Dell for using the same motherboard (not to say its 1:1 same , but a similar motherboard which shares the same audio chip , motherboard controllers found on the 1st generation of iMacs). So basically for me , sound , PCI , PCI-E , SATA , ATA , USB , works out of the box

Depending on your usage , you may want to get a dual core or quad core. Make sure you invest on Apple Keyboard. Its a must-have if you plan to use OSX !

Sorry it wouldn't work , but I am sure that its possible to do a SMBIOSEFI trick fooling the installer disk that its MacBookPro1,1 (or whatever model) , so that it would install it fine. I could be wrong on this. But I think its possible , if you could use retail disc to install on a PC , I think its possible

Oh yeah those who are using Hackint0sh , do consier yourself on buying up the Apple keyboard or mouse ! Do support our local apple stores/retailers or just buy OSX DVD ! Its such a great OS !

I bought my OSX Retail Disc (OSX 10.5) and mighty mouse (no not from apple store , but from a guy - Managed to get it for RM 70 inclusive of shipping)

No longer in production. Honestly speaking the old one is much more better then the new one. The keys are better , argh !

But one nice thing I like about the new one is that it has itunes controls , so you could forward/rewind/pause/play while surfing the internet or doing other stuff tongue.gif

I tried the default EFI String from EFIStudio and my QE/CI is no longer supported T_T

I am still in doubt whether I deleted all of the NVInject kexts. Gotta check again.

Also, I haven't try your string, will try it. Hopefully it works.

Weird thing is my audio is working, but a bit choppy at times (as if there's lag). =|

Shutdown is not working as well, I tried that kext but to no avail (by installation it came with it as well).

----

Edit

Once upon deleting all of the NV* kext and GE* kext, reboot, and graphics distorted. I set the resolution in the plist, and it worked.

Shutdown restart working normally again. =D

But no QE/CI T________T I used to have it when I use NVInject. WHYYYYYY T___T

Try cpus=1

to fix your sound issue. You may need to get SMBIOS fix for 2 Cpus thingy

Like I've said hacks on laptops aren't prefect

Now , my fujitsu u1010 has issues. I plug it in and it gets stucked in installation forever

Good news is that the touch screen works

Now I've to crack head to determine which kext is the culprit and a way to fix it. Let you know the outcome later

Voila - I've HacBook Air Tablet PC Edition !
