Hello people. I had finally get a copy of iATKOS 1.0. I had basically waste the whole evening yesterday trying to figure out how to get it to work. Finally I manage to install it.
However, there remains one big problem. I can't boot into it! I can boot into Windows 7 alright, without the need to repair it but I just can't boot into Mac OS.
I had tried to use bcdedit with elevated command prompt. When I try to boot it, it shows me a "Windows is loading files" which is from Windows 7 installation screen. Then after that it black out and restart.
I then download EasyBCD, and add a Mac entry. What happen is it show me a black screen and say something about the path not existing or something. The path is set by EastBCD as /NST/ma*somethingelse*.mbr
So, I change the path to Chain0, but it give me "Chain booting error" when I try to boot.
I am out of idea of how to make it boot. Anyone have any idea? Help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Drac.
Boot with your iatkos dvd. Go to terminal :-
sudo -s
type diskutil list (take note of the disk and partition number that u install osx on )
./fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX (where X is the appropriate disk identifier)
f 1 (where 1 is the first partition of the disk)
w
y
q
reboot, now you should be able to os x installation. Boot with -f -v.
You should have the option to choose to boot vista partition or osx partition.
cheers!
Why not try the latest version of iatkos_5i? Btw what are your pc/notebook specs?
