installed kalway 10.5.2 on my
Intel Pentium D 3.2ghz
2 GB ram
8800 GTS 512
checked nvInject 512 during installation
the resolution was ok for my 22 inch monitor but the graphic is quite sluggish and lagging. tried to use lower resolution, still got same problem.
izzit my processor does not compatible or the graphic card? (tried install without nvinject, the graphic does not sluggish and lagging, but cant change resolution)
i think its the processor not the graphic card
i tried it on my pentium D also using my previous spec and had the same issues or maybe i am wrong here
officially osx only support core2duo onwards
so i cant really say whats the issue here
try using the utility made by nice people at insanely mac there to install ur graphic card driver maybe it will work well

Congrats ! Sure wish I have the budget for specs like yours, then again I am not a heavy user, just for home use. Even my current CPU Q9300 is overkill for me

. Gigabyte motherboard series (GA-EP35-DS4 or GA-EP35-DS3x) is the best for hackintosh installation.
IMO leopard retail (original vanilla leopard) is the best installation, no distros can matched. I have similar issues with my EP35-DS3 board, PS/2 not working and onboard LAN need to renew DHCP. Very stable just like your system. I do discover VMWare Fusion v1.1.3 does not work properly, Parallels however no problem.
Alas, my motherboard kaputed couple of weeks ago, sent for warranty

.
thx

i didnt know i had the perfect board for the setup initially i had this board for over half a year now just recently only i upgraded my processor and it become a perfect hackintosh setup
now i remembered one problem in leopard! which needed serious fixing the usb uhci bus issue
as for the ps2 port there is an utility dedicated for gigabyte motherboard did the trick fixing my ps2 port, i had tried tons of plist and kext hack which didnt work at all and this solved the problem
i really hope the on board lan issues can be solved in the future
as for vmware i havent test it out yet

i fixed them by installing latest kext taken from apple developer thx to insanely mac again
now my Philips USB sound card works perfectly out of the box together with my bluetooth and any other usb devices

same here, i get the iATKOS as most user on the webbie use em'
ive tried hunt for the retail 10.5.4 torrent, but unable to find
how bout u?
there isnt any 10.5.4 retail torrent out there
just 10.5.2 or 10.5.1 if not mistaken
so need to manually patch them to latest version
one thing good about mac os x is u can install and patch directly from one leopard to another leopard
i can use my current leopard to install a clean leopard in an empty hdd then patch it and then later apply chameleon efi on it and then boot from it
after all that done just use the utility created for your motherboard or manually patch the kext files then fix permission, delete cache reboot and launch back again in -v -f mode to force install all drivers

if u guys are lazy and willing to take some risk ( easy way out to *clean* install)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
1. Install iatkos v4i plain! no other drivers or kext inside
2. use the chameleon efi package
3. replace current kernel with vanilla kernel
4. replace necessary kext for ur hardware requirement
5. repair permission, clear cache
6. reboot and set arguements to -v -f, cross finger so it can boot into efi and boot ur leopard
only try the way above if u have a test machine dont try it on your current daily use os x i cant gurantee if it will work i tested it out a couple of times in my rig and it worked out well
( step 3- 5, I used gigabyte utility that did all of this with just a few click of mouse buttons) and its running stable for few days now without any issues
the real plain install also works fine with my installation
*I am not responsible if it doenst works!
