Has anyone manage to get their headphones out working for a built-in Intel Hi-def audio chip?
I followed so many guides and nothing works.

Running off iPC 10.5.6 on an Acer Aspire 5920G laptop.

I actually had to go out and buy and Asus Xonar X1 USB Soundcard to use my headphones. sad.gif

are you you have tried all drivers? how about these links, take a look

I got experience with my Intel HDA onboard on my Abit IP35-E mobo. Need to deal with HDApatcher. Now it works good.

Thanks, Skitzo. I think I had follow those steps in my installation, in accordance with a guide I am using.

Anyway, I found the solution, EasyBCD 2.0 beta. Under the Mac tab, the EFI option work for me. The MBR option however, does not work.

Things are kinda hectic at this end. Choose the wrong time to install as I don't have much time to play with it. Wireless does not work. I installed iwi3945 driver and it can detect my network, but not connect to it. I don't think Bluettoth is working. I *think* I did not hear any sound either, but did not actually try it yet.

My specs are
Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T7500
NVIDIA GeForce 8500M GS
F3Sv motherboard
PM965 chipset
2GB RAM

P.S: Somehow after the OSX install, my pendrive and external HDD in Windows 7 seems to stop working. I plug in pendrive and external HDD and they does not seems to be recognised. It is not an issue with USB port but pendrive and external HDD not detected.

Edit: I just realised it can't be USB port that is malfunctioning. My mouse and cooler pad is using USB ports and they still work. Also, when I plug in and out my pendrive, there is a notification sound, but it is not detected.

What is the issue with the GC? You may need to get hold of an external USB BT dongle and test it out. Even a cheap China Made BT will work. I ran into the a problem pairing with my previous MSI BToes 2.0 and got hold a a DLink BT solved my problem.

Just to stray off this topic. For those who can stretch the money a bit further should try to invest a EFi V1. It is far easier to have a hybrid mac as it does not mess with any "kext" as long as you have the compatible hardwares.

I've been running Mac via EFi-X for the more than 4 weeks and every Mac application is running fine. You may look at my inventory listing below for hardware listing.

Need more details from you, what are your hardware specs? What distro are you using? Which kernel did you choose during installation? If possible try the speedstep kernel or voodoo kernel.

Cheers!
