QUOTE(ktek @ Apr 2 2021, 12:54 PM) how much rpm vibrate time Did not check should be below 1k, standard rev when idle. If with hand brake on and feet not touching brake pedal it's ok, slight vibration. But like short term, red light turning green soon, and feet is pressing brake pedal for sometime then the vibration can be felt .

QUOTE(dogbert_chew @ Mar 28 2021, 08:57 PM) Ativa X.. tested urban and highway up to 140kmh. A knocking rattle below the rear seats (suspension?) When i go over tall humps. No other sound at any speed like what FongSaiYuk asked earlier. QUOTE(clockpulses @ Mar 29 2021, 08:54 AM) This issue has been mentioned by wapcar too. They also suspect the suspension. From my experience, the knocking sound after bump is the indication of coil spring insulator issue. Checked wapcar website. P2 managed to figure out the source of the sound. It was the rear brake drum shoe

Anyone got a unit without a black roof and wrapped the roof outside? Any good service provider to recommend in the Klang valley?

Just received my car today.
Granite Grey unit.
Didn't really notice the vibrations that much during stop start traffic but one thing that needs getting used to is the reverse sensation.
First time driving CVT so the reverse part did feel a bit jerky especially when I had to modulate the pedal closely to fit into tight gaps in my house.

Congratulations and welcome to the Granite Grey club! Oh I remember going through that. This is my 3rd CVT so I'm used to it, you'll get the hang of it soon. Others were even more worried about the car engine braking by itself when slowing down to turn at corners lol.

Any particular tips regarding reversing? Or just a case of practice makes perfect kind of thing. Cos I really need to either release the brake pedal or press really hard to make it stop completely before I hit the wall. Didn't really encounter any major engine braking sensation though during my drive back earlier upon picking up the car. Still feel a bit of whine from the engine when I picked up. Odometer only 11KM. Hahaha.

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Apr 8 2021, 10:03 AM) huh what is that mean? something like pedal lag ? like proton saga? Hmm, can't really explain. I'm comparing it with the normal auto cars I've been using all this while. Somehow the reverse part especially in really tight gaps takes some getting used to.

Any existing owners hearing any knocking sound at the rear when going over yellow lines or uneven roads? I'm experiencing this issue at the moment with about 200km in the ODO meter.

Really like ativa for my next car, but the gear lever centre dashboard is hard plastic and it hurts my knees. I wish they at least cover it with soft plastic like armrest & door handle.

QUOTE(imathl @ Apr 8 2021, 05:30 PM) Silver or Cobalt blue? Which colour look nicer and look bigger? Colour preference is subjective. Best to go see in person bro. The showroom where I placed booking had the pearl white AV and cobalt blue X whilst the test drive unit was the pearl delima red. I still insisted on getting Granite Grey cos I preferred that colour even on my Myvi. My wife liked the pearl white but it's going to be a massive pain to keep clean.

Difficult to modulate.

Difficult to modulate. Hmm, although many have said the D-CVT in use here ain't the same as the older Punch CVT units from Proton. But you did mention something about the hesitation. Normal reversing like into parking lots is fine but when you park like this [constant front & back movements to slot into a tight spot] - that's where I felt the difference between the Ativa and my previous Myvi most [asides from the size].
