Considering the low fuel consumption, maintenance cost, technology and price, I'm sold. I seriously cant find any car at this price point so fully loaded with features and safety. Will be officially placing my booking for AV Red/Black roof tomorrow. This will be my 3rd car and to be used as my main car for City drive.

Just to add on, the car rides very well for what it is. Felt very stable and comfortable even over bumpy roads during my test drive. Only complain is the 3 cylinder engine sound and slight vibration at idle.

IF based on Axia /Bezza 1KRve engine it's around 650Rpm with aircond off and in Neutral gear.
so I expect this 1KRVET engine to be similar.

Wanna save petrol is it? it's already a 3 cylinder.

Guys, just curious about the PWR mode.
Somewhere in the review videos I heard that it is used during overtaking only.

My question is, can we use throughout the journey, like a few hours journey, like a sport mode in other cars?

Saw in p**ltan videos (if I am not mistaken), PWR mode is like NOS, meaning short-lived.

Looks like he never pressed the PWR button before doing the 0-100 sprint.  Without PWR on the boost is low, as in ECO mode.

Is he kidding? 0.6 to 1.0 boost is huge deference. More boost means more power and torque but the D-CVT on Ativa only rated at 150Nm (max torque that it can handle). Furthermore, by his logic, you get less torque without the use of PWR button. I'm sure the PWR button DOES NOT involved getting extra boost, I believe it's more like it's letting your engine stay at higher RPM in all CVT ratio.

P/S: Btw, are you sure he stated the boost correctly? As 0.6 or even 1.0 Psi is kind of low.

Yea, some outlets don't allow test drive until the car is registered, so it differs outlet to outlet.

The lag is there, quite similar to Axia, i don't think the lag is felt when you're driving it in a chill manner, but as you dig deeper into the throttle, i guess this partly contributes why I'm not ok driving it hard, it becomes noticable and annoying.

Also i begin to understand why many hate Idle Start Stop, it kicks in even when I'm waiting at junction for traffic to clear, then when i wanna move, it wasn't fully ready yet by the time my right foot transition from brake to throttle pedal, so it becomes an engine restart lag! If i turned it off, i could've respond just a teeny bit faster to get out of the junction. Or if i insist leaving ISS on, i know now i need to anticipate earlier.

I think if you've already known and familiar with this behaviour, it should be very similar as your Myvi G3.

With YS behind the wheel of Ativa, one gets to see the speed of the car is travelling. At one point at the last leg it was hitting 151km/h uphill. Going downhill saw YS hits 122km/h maneuvering a tight corner. For a SUV to be able to go for those speed I think it is pretty ok for day to day usage. Watched some of YS' videos like Vios, City and, etc, anyone gets to see how fast the cars were going ?

They gave me a name of the tint brand on Axia but I cannot remember the name probably it's some cheapo brand, hence it doesn't ring a bell. 

Haha. Nope, my yellow bar at the boot only. Front I didn't put any MG3 decals on the top part above the ASA sensor.

Anyways, probably cos I'm so used to the MG3's pedal by now so roughly know how much pressure to modulate the pedal when I want to kickdown etc.

Of course, it might not be as powerful vs a turbo engine but somehow that was my initial impression when I tested the Ativa last week.

There was a hint of 'lag' when I mashed the pedal from standstill though vs the Myvi.

For me - not a fan of coil mats cos it's quite a PITA to keep clean and dust may accumulate at the bottom of the strands. 

Gotten mine today, 2 tone red, full spec.
Upgrading from saga flx, comfy and nvh quite good, probably losing to Vios only in this class.
Adaptive cruise feel smooth when car slow down to match d gap.
No problem with smart tag using originally tint.
One thing is d vibration during idle can feel when leg on brake pedal.

Congratulations and welcome to the Granite Grey club! Oh I remember going through that. This is my 3rd CVT so I'm used to it, you'll get the hang of it soon. Others were even more worried about the car engine braking by itself when slowing down to turn at corners lol.

Thanks! dual tone color looks sporty and attractive looking too! However, they dont have dual tone for silver, so it's fine for me without dual tone.

With lots of safety features and SUV, indeed a nice price for such decent car, and most important is the driving experience is enjoyable all the time

yeah.. with power turned on, indeed it will able to pick up the acceleration faster. The only curious part is whether the turbo is utilised when power is turned on? It doesn't mention much about this.

There's a note mentioned in 4-3 that the engine has to be idle for a minute before turn off the engine in order to prevent the damage on turbo unit. I can assume that, there's no built-in cooling solution on turbo after the engine is turned off?

Can confirm whether all ativa has no headlight leveling switch located at right side of the driving panel? I saw that button is empty, although it did mention that in the manual lol.

Didn't know much about turbo as it's my first car to have turbo. It helps alot on 1.0 engine, doesn't feel the lack of power for normal ride, except climbing up the cliff that took me 3k rpm with 50-60km/h. still not dare to accelerate more as it's still new and maintain low speed for time being

VVTi don't work like that, the cam-phasing is continuous throughout the entire RPM range.

It doesn't switch over at fixed RPM range like the old VTEC / MIVEC / CPS (which changes valve lift, not valve timing).

yes. i found the chrome is too much exposed on front, prefer a single logo perodua chrome, that should look simple and elegent.
btw, is vibratile package offered from perodua can improve on denoise? the price is based on single door or all 4 doors?

In this case, no need lah, just two black stripes. Dominant colour still the original colour then should be okay.
Speaking of dechrome, anyone else thinks there is quite an excess of chrome on the Ativa?
