Anyone here leased the Ativa Hybrid ? Is it any good ? As good as Toyota hybrids or Honda hybrids ?
*
it is a different hybrid compared to toyota and honda as you asked. this ativa, the gas engine is not connected to the wheels at all.
its a charger only. all the electric then goes into charging the battery and the car is moved only by electric motor.
so far no quality issue with the car lah, still ok.

Thanks. Interesting, can't wait for axia hybrid or myvi hybrid. Dunno will become reality or not. Ativa is too big , parking hard, especially parallel parking.

If sources are accurate, the first hybrid from P2 should be the Kenari (Daihatsu Move).

Kenari okay. Boxy design but compact. Easy parking.

Just curious, do you guys keep the Adaptive Driving Beam function on all the time? By pressing the A button on the side.

I left it on but once was stopped by police for this. I said "Perodua set punya ini high beam". It was a dark road though without incoming cars. I do think it works albeit not 100% perfect.

Driving quite aggresive from Kota Bharu to Putrajaya. Took 4H30mins including petrol/toilet stop. Quite impresive with ativa performance. Upgrading suspension is a must for more solid driving high speed. It was very early morning with super less trafic. Normal drive took atleast 6H

u not feel underpower? considering to upgrade to this from my old 1.5 jazz, but scared will feel the absence of power . sorry for the noob Q anyway.

also what made u choose an SUV? Just curious. what's the difference in day to day driving compared to sedans/hatchbacks? smile.gif

The difference between SUV vs sedans/hatchbacks to me personally, is the higher driving height, and also the suspension system.
I appreciate the ability to drive past those plastic speedbumps that they love to put around shopping malls and condos. No need to slow down, just drive past

The 1.0 turbo generates max 140Nm @ 2,400rpm.

At this rev, the 1.5 NA engine probably only half that torque.
Need to rev till > 4000rpm for full torque.

Thats why it is perfect for city drives where you don't rev like crazy.

I tested the feature. At night the high beam keeps turning on and off maybe because of the trees in my taman. Kinda weird and annoying. Might turn the feature off in City driving. Will try it out in kampung driving.

Llumar but can't remember the model, I called Llumar during the launch 2 years ago for confirmation. But it's a pathetic solar film especially the front and side front.
